So we will be able to configure any of our OTS maps into one map we can flash and then switch in the car quickly without reflashing?? OMGggg!! That’ll be next level if we won’t even need to get a custom map for it to get started with this

I know i'm probably asking the obvious here, but can someone please tell me if this is available now? if so, how do I go about it with my laptop?

just tried launching bootmod3 agent, and looking at my bootmod account, there is nothing about this on there

Excellent news!

In the video, the car was stationary and the it didn't show anything being done other than with the laptop.

Now, actual "On the Fly" switching via the steering wheel column controls would be awesome ("Ecutek")!

Will there be any visual representation (GUI - On the central iDrive Screen?) upon switching from one to an other?

Deal~Maker, indeed!!

Cheers!

In Halim's video you see that the Tach pointer jumps to 1-2-3-4 as he switches maps.

It would be great to have a set of maps on hand to pick fuel.
Map1- GTS
Map2- 93 Stage 2
Map3- E30 Stage 2
Map4- E85 Custom

This is exactly what I’m hoping for save we have 91 and not 93 here.

No, I didn't notice.

It would've been nice if BMW would have included a gear indicator on the Sport (Hp./Tq.) Display.

It may not be 100% but it's what we got. This would be an even better screen to also have some
type of indication of what map we're on!

Are there any plans to release an OTS "Valet Map?" Or, are we stuck paying for a custom tune in order to add the low-boost valet configuration?

It's right at the 2:30 mark you see Halim tap the gas and the Tach moves from 1K straight to 2K and holds there to indicate MAP2 (actual RPM still about 700/idle by my ear).

Nobody needs a valet map. Tip your valet $10 and say that you park your own car...they usually say ok. Sometimes I put a sticky note on my dash showing miles and tenths...so nobody gets any ideas. I was a valet long long ago...oh that red Ferrari 308 GTS Targa went 0-90-0 in second gear!

I wonder if we could maybe get a map configuration option for the stock tune maybe to set it for Valet mode? Or maybe some other way now that map switching is becoming a configurable thing

That would be nice. Basically, have a map config option that limits boost target across the board.

I still have the JB4 connected, but keep it on Map 0 at all times. The only time I use it since getting bm3 is to switch it to the Map 4 "valet" option. I think the Map 4 limits boost to under 8psi, but not completely sure.

Yeah something like that would be nice to have to configure in. Wonder what fuel mileage would look like on it

Good work fellas!! Rolling anti-lag will be epic!! It hits so much harder than just going wot. Map switching will make going from 91 to e85 or e85 to 91 easy...keep up the good work fellas!!

Just reduce boost 100% in every gear and save that as map 1👌🏼

Yea, I actually thought about that last night while playing around with the xHP setup.

So theoretically....how much power does the s55 make "naturally aspirated"? I once accidentally reduced boost 80% in 6th gear and it barely moved shifting into 6th (though I was probably doing 150mph+)

Hey guys, quick update:

First off, ton of fun working and testing these new features! Testing is going really well. We've moved the trigger controls away from the pedals (accel. pedal and brake) to the left side of the steering wheel for ease of use while driving. We're expanding to even more tables that are switchable for each map slot which will make for some really interesting new features not possible so far. Flex fuel tuning is using a continental flex fuel sensor sending ethanol content and fuel temp over CANBus. Along with these changes on the DME side we're expanding the abilities of the tuning editor with features and changes we've been working on for some time now. Lots more to follow here soon. Cheers

Will the additional functionality be bundled together with the map switching release or can we get our hands on just map switching our existing maps first?... sorry, can't help it i'm just impatient
