I'm looking to get into an F80 M3 Comp and I ran across a few that peaked my interest and fit the bill in regards to condition and options but in my search I saw an M3 CS that caught my attention. Dealer is asking $70k for it. 33K miles on it. Downside is it's been in an accident. carfax shows mild/moderate front end damage. Accident happened approx 3 years ago. One owner car. He put about 22k miles on it after the accident so I assume it was put back together correctly. Otherwise just normal maintenance on the carfax. It's priced about the same as the M3 Comps I'm seeing in the area. Just wondering if this is a good deal or would the damage scare you away.

Would scare me.. just from a resale value when price normalize this car will be worth less

Decent spec:

CarPlay
Lastly, power rear sunshade, which I enjoy for the kids
All in all, it had $86 MSRP

Only 1 year of the M3 with LCI headlights. I personally prefer the pre-LCI headlights but many are searching specifically for 18s with Comp pack.

Why is that? A car that was selling for $35k went up to $50k because people saved lots during covid and had money to spend. With rising prices in all other areas of life and higher rates, prices are softening. Prices are not back to $35k but likely in low $40s.

Are they? There isn't one example in that list that I'd have even considered. I guess if you just want a car and 90k+ miles is fine in a basic spec then the market has cooled thanksfully. But for low mileage cars or individual colors I haven't seen much change.
