Spilled window cleaner all over AMP
Window cleaner in my trunk opened and spilled all over the amp. I have a Harmon Kardon system and wondering if it’s fried or will spraying it down with contact cleaner and letting it dry work? If it’s fried any cheaper aftermarket options you guys would recommend that doesn’t kill my wallet?

I would try seeing if it works after drying it out for a couple days. If not, look into getting a used unit from ebay or a parts car. Not sure if it needs coding to work correctly... maybe someone else can answer that.
You may also want to scan the car with ista for any errors and also check fuses if it shorted something. |

Been there. Wife spilled a huge water bottle on it. Shorted the amp out and blew the fuse. Car was under warranty at the time but no dice. BMW declined to replace it under warranty. I put an insurance claim in, they took care of it. It was somewhere around $3k at the dealer.
I was getting zero sound out of the speakers, everything else worked. |
