Rev Match/ Replacement vehicle

Long story short, my car was involved in an accident, and I believe it will be a total loss due to the frame damage from a hard hit to the rear.

I loved my M4. And I love the 6 speed. My brother has an M2 comp, and it's sweet. But the fact that the only way to turn off rev matching is by turning off traction control is disappointing. In my car (2018) I just had to turn the engine to sport plus.

Is there a way to successfully code this feature off?

Also, the fact the new M3/4 is coming out makes me think about waiting, but I also would want the M3/4 comp, which probably wouldn't come in a manual... which really makes me sad..

So what are the options? Another M4, 6speed or move to a porsche?

Check on the coding section I believed you can code it off.

Sorry about your car dude...that sucks (quote stolen from Tommy Boy but mean it)...Options are limitless...You for sure can "tune" rev matching off in all modes by using Alex@Alpine, Bootmod or similar DME modifying software...you can even do it without the "tune" if you just want rev matching off....but could still get caught in engine/drivetrain warranty denials because who would believe you unlocked your DME just to turn off rev-matching and not add a few HP? But these supposedly undetectable unless BMW really looks into your DME.

In the DIY and coding section there is a sticky listing some codes that can simply be coded the normal way without touching the engine module and that might work to turn off rev matching. I haven't tried it and no recent posts confirming that still works...not sure how it would work on an M2, but I'm sure there's a way.

It's possible to deactivate it without any DME modification or remap.
