I was pondering a middle of the day early afternoon hawks nest run tomorrow. Does anyone know if I would be met with random road blocks / check points or NJ/NY state border crossing problems?

I just want to drive and interact with zero humans. Thoughts? I would be very far from home and have no legit excuse for being on the road if questioned. How bad is it out there? I have only been to local stores for ~3 weeks now.

I was out on Friday and did not encounter any roadblocks between NY/NJ. Went up to Harriman State Park and back, no interaction with humans. Glad to hear you are balancing doing your part on social distancing with some sense of normalcy of everyday life.

I ended up not going out at all. Stayed busy with work all day and could not duck out early as planned. And then wednesday night started getting a fever. So fighting something atm. Seems like a regular cold/flu for now and nothing serious. Staying in/home. Maybe next week.

I went out last saturday to Bear Mountain. The road to the top of the mountain was closed, but otherwise no problems. There was even a cop shooting radar on the main road running through Harriman

All parks in NJ area are closed so sad, studies show being outside is healthier than being coupled up on the house.
