Just quickly resurrecting this thread as I have a quick question for you. Did you have to cut into your splitters to get the CS lip to fit properly? Did you use double sided tape + self tappers to install the lip? Cheers and TIA. |

No just make sure you get the “dry carbon” splitters. They cost a little more but Fitment and quality is 10/10. The cheap ones I found out the hard way don’t even fit and are way too thick.

I am looking at using nuts and bolts to attach the lip to the bumper, but what size would they need to be? Also, there is no way to do it without removing the bumper, right? Any insight from anyone would be appreciated.

I used the Autotecknic CS Style Lip which I think is similar to the RW Carbon one and seems to be the closest rep of the OEM one. The X-PH might be different. Home Depot (Store SKU #) (4 total bolts for sides) 1in Bolt: #492669 (6 total bolts along front) 3/4in Bolt: #493329 (10 total) Nut: #247756 Washers: #246799 4 Self tapping screws (along the side air vents as there is too much plastic there in the inside of bumper so can't use bolt w/ nut there). The only negative about this is you will have 1/4in holes on the bottom of bumper. You could size down in the bolt thickness though if you wanted to, thats just what I went with as the washer is larger and hopefully less likely to rip off. If I used the OEM brackets maybe thinner bolts/washers would have been fine too. Also, you can't do this without removing the bumper. There is a plastic lower bumper guide (attached to car) that will prevent you from being able to put the bolts along the front of bumper. |
