Thanks.

I'm familiar with the Ohlins TTX system as I have this on the rear of my race bike. It's amazing gear but I couldn't justify the cost for my M4. The R&T is a simpler system. I've not got huge experience with car suspension but had Bilstein gear fitted to a 911 about 8 years ago that really sharpened the car up.

Very tempted to go Ohlins r&t. The M4 handles well but the rebound damping is poor and I hate the floating feel you get over crests and undulations in the surface.

For the life of me, I have no idea why they made the rebound so crappy on this car.

It ruins the driving experience every time.

If I keep the car, Ohlin R/T will be going on. I'm just waiting to see if they fix my vibrating brake issue before I put any money into it.

After a 1000 miles, I'm still extremely happy with my Ohlins.

I'm so much more in tune with the road and the car feels connected.

When I change the setup just for a test, I'll let y'all know what the changes feel like and my impressions.

I don't know why anyone questions whether these Ohlins R&T are worth it.

Has anyone got any more feedback on the Ohlins Road and Track kit? I've got prices and fitting details and I'm waiting to pull the trigger on buying these? I know they will be good but still feels like a lot of money to spend...

If you run them totally soft, its maybe a tad more compliant than stock, but much more control and way less squat and squirm under acceleration. A little over 2k miles on mine now.

Will get mine installed next Monday and take the car to Hockenheimring Race Circuit on Wednesday. I think i can post a nice and hopefully positive review afterwards. I added on some adjustable camber plates and a set of 19 wheels with Michelin Cup 2... so i'm really curious if it'll work out well....

You said yourself they are the best.

Yes, you can even get a package that has camber plates and end links included that are much more inexpensive, e.g. Status Gruppe, Bilstein PSS10, etc. Are they as good? I don't know. Get what you want, remove and resell if they don't perform, then buy what you think you should have in the first place.

The time spent going through the aforementioned exercise is more valuable to me than trying to save money on something that I'm not sure of in the first place. Ohlins, in my motorcycling experience, is the pinnacle and never disappointed. I expected the same for their automotive application and again I am not disappointed.

Thanks....think I will go for it. I love the Ohlins on my race bike.

Drove home tonight up a bumpy B road and the adaptive suspension was leaping all over the place. I like being able to change the settings but I never seem to be in the right one. Sport Plus is rock hard and only works on super smooth surfaces and the rear loses traction over bumps, Sport is better but has poor re-bound control and allows too much body roll.......

Just need to wait for the perfect time to do it when my wife is away next month! She will never notice once it's fitted so I needn't trouble her with explaining the costs and benefits.......

I ended up going with KW HAS for now, but will probably switch to Ohlins at some point. Huge believer in their systems. Also have their TTX setup on my GT3 RS and bikes.

They say fronts don't lower more than 15mm max.
(Ohlins recommendation'' is 10mm)

Maybe someone can post a picture to clarify.,,

That's true and i was surprised about as the competitors like KW offer way more. I'm at -25 now and I hope at least -15 will work. I can post some pics on next Tuesday...

KW doesn't have a product with the same intended usage. The V series is more or less a lowering coilovers with progressive spring rates and damping adjustments. KW CS is a track intended coilovers with camber plates and a very firm ride. Both KW product lines are also of the twin tube design vs the monotube on the Ohlins.

What's your opinion with getting Dinan toe end links go to with the Ohlins?

Needed or overkill?

An overkill for a street car, even for a car that may see a few track days a year. Noise is almost a certainty down the road.

Is rear traction increased with the Ohlins?
