I honestly don't know why anyone would choose the KW HAS over the MP HAS.

I wonder if there was an install error. I can dump my front end on the MP HAS. I am almost fender to tire (666m's) and still have at least a 1/4 left to go.

Price point
If you look hard enough you can find the kw kit for 2/3 the price of the BMW kit or even less
I bought mine open boxed blemish but completed and new for $550
Hard to beat

It's not like the MP HAS is expensive for what you're getting.

I mean, I get it.

Of course, I also never understood why people put a JB4 on either, so..

I'll grab some in the morning and post them up. My fender to ground measurement is 26" up front for reference.

You should be measuring bottom rim edge to fender lip, that's the standard BMW measuring practice and it will be easier to compare with others.

That was for reference since we have different wheels. The only constant between both of us is fender to ground or fender to wheel hub center.

The BMW MP-Performance HAS specs exist for different wheels sizes. Further by adding/subtracting 0.5"(12.7mm) for each inch in rim diameter difference, it is easy to correct for wheel size . Measuring to the ground has much more variables such as tire diameter, tire inflation, tire wear, etc. This is why BMW specifies to measure from rim edge since it measures chassis-to-chassis.

Looks very similar to mine. I don't think anything is wrong with your install.

Ok and yes I agree fender to lower rim edge is the proper way to measure; mine is 24 1/8 to be more specific.

I know there is nothing wrong with mine kerkiraios00 is the one with the install issue IMHO. If he is maxed out at that height then something is wrong.

Thank you for the input guys!!

Mine from ground to fender is 26 15/16
From the bottom of the rim to the fender is 24 3/4..
BMW installed them so maybe they were trying to be conservative? They told me is was maxed but seems as if I have more room gonna have to look into it

Think they put it at recommended height. Did you request for it to be slammed ?

Is the ride stiffer than stock? Did you install yourself? I heard the install instructions are not great.

What confuses me is why are there so many people wanting HAS when majority of the people set it once and forget about it? Each time you adjust the height, you have to get the car aligned again and that just sounds like a money pit to me.

IMO, pick a lowering spring with the rates and height you want for 1/3 of the price or go all the way and spend a little more on coilovers.

Personally running EMD lowering springs right now and they feel only 10% stiffer than stock on large bumps, EMD completely eliminates wheel gaps (1.3" front and 0.9" rear). Will upgrade to coilovers in the future if I keep the car long enough.

Maybe I have to get it checked out by an independent shop.. I didn't say slammed but said i wanted the front lower and they said it's maxed

HAS offer fine tuning advantages that normal lowering springs do not. First, they allow corner balancing to equalize left and right handling and grip. Second they allow fine tuning the handling balance between over and understeer by adjusting the relative front and rear ride heights. With the original height I had set on my M4cs, the car did not optimally put the power down coming out of corners, raising the front solved the issue.

Because apart from a slightly different front spring where the coils bind at different places they are the same.
Rear springs have same wire diameter and same number of springs, but the MP has a pigtail end on one end to work with the OEM spring locator
While KW uses coilover style springs on the rear

So after driving the car for a month with the V3's aligned by Manthey-Racing (if you don't know who they are...look them up!) at their shop at the Nurburgring, all I can say is HOLY SH!T..it's amazing! There were a couple of different ways I could have gone with the alignment, one of their choices is actually called the Nordschleife Special which pretty much sets your car up to run The Ring..I went with the alignment for high speed since most of my driving is on the Autobahn. I asked Rico how it would drive and he said you can drive the car at 300km using 2 fingers! I said that's what I want...he wasn't lying! The car feels so much more planted now especially in curves. It literally feels like every centimeter of those 295's I have in the rear are being used on the road! They also adjusted the height so there is no rubbing anymore.

The V3's are one of the best choices I have made for my car so far and now with the alignment and the 295's PS4's in the rear...this car hugs the road.
