Paint-less Dent Removal PDR
Regrettably I dented the rear quarter panel near the body line of the wheel well. I'm being told by a few friends this is minor and a good Paint-less dent removal (PDR) shop can fix this. If you have used PDR before what were your results? Are you happy with the outcome? Would you use again?

Something similar happened to me as well. My bodyshop said PDR would not be able to fix that, but obviously they are not PDR and have motive otherwise.

I didn't bother fixing it, I figure its only noticeable if you really look for it. Wasn't quite worth the $1200 repair cost through the body shop, unless I can find a reputable PDR guy to pop it out.

I say that you'd be impressed as to what PDR can do. However, the hardest thing is access. They need to be able to access the back side of that panel with a Captain Hook looking tool. And the sheet metal body of a car has "memory". Is it stamped out and the metal is deformed beyond its yield strength. Some dents are put in but the metal is never pushed beyond its yield strength.... So it wants to spring back. Same with that body line. A PDR guy with access should give that a go for $100. Worth a try in my book.

I was lucky that the factory installed clear film protected the paint from damage from the dent. |

I had an excellent result with PDR. I had a big dent(baseball) on a body line. Body shop wanted to tear car apart and repaint. What a joke. No way I can tell where the dent was.
The guy I used was in Danbury, CT. |

I have used PDR in two occasions so far and results are amazing. Go for it. Specially in that area where you have access from the wheel well by removing the plastic covering.

I ended up using Dent Doctor in Whitestone. They did a magnificent job! I really can't believe how they were able to get out the dents... and bring back the body line! Truly amazing work!

Wow it turned out great! I would say that mine looks the same or very similar to yours. My car is white so it doesn't show up well at all in pictures. Good to know a good PDR will be able to pop it back out!

looks good, PDR is great. Had one on a body line as well (135) If I look REALLY hard I can see where it was but that only because the paint got warped (best way I can describe it, no chips but you can see a pattern difference in the paint)

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. This turned out amazing. I have the exact same damage on my car. I was wondering if you remember what the PDR guy did? How he accessed that area? I have someone coming to look at my car this week and was hoping to have some insight on how it should be done properly.
