The recent F80 M3 spy video (reposted below) and order guide revealed and confirmed the Yas Marina Blue Metallic color for the upcoming 2014 M3 and M4. While the video gave us a general sense of how the color looks, its grainy quality doesn't showcase the color adequately. So, we'll show you more...

Here is a Yas Marina Blue F30 320d. The color will be available for the standard 3 Series as a BMW Individual color. No word yet on what market will receive it or when it will become available.

That last image perfectly illustrates why it's futile to gauge the true color of any paint sample in pictures given how drastically various lighting conditions can affect the tone of that color.

Tricky. Looks like toothpaste on the f30. I'm sure it's just the lighting.

Is the YMB color similar at all to the baby blue in the M logo?

You're not. Why couldn't it be the Monte Carlo blue from the M5?

Definitely similar but it remains to be seen just how similar IRL. I said in another post the car would look good with a dark blue and red stripe. I also think dark blue wheels would look good as an alternative to black (maybe leave off the red ring I'd mentioned though ).

Looks and sounds amazing. Still not happy they're calling the coupe the 4 series/M4, but stoked to see more of the new F30 M3!

Absolutely +1. Needs all the flares and contrasting CF to pull it off. Still by far my #1 color if I were to buy an M3/4 though.

This color is 2nd on my list behind Sahkir Orange. I crave Sahkir Orange with the black OEM 19" wheel options, a drop, beautiful brakes and black or black/Sahkir Orange leather.

That 320d is for sale here in Norway..

Might look better on the more aggressive looking M3...

I agree to an extent. If it was my weekend car then I would consider it or another loud color Unfortunately if I bought an M3 I would need to sell my DD and my kidney.

I love SO. There's quite a few M5/6 at the PC in that color, and it's amazing how many shades it has. I'm just not as big of a fan of it in very low light, almost looks copper-ish, which isn't bad. But I think YMB would look awesome in any colors.

I just want that F80 in the video, exactly as is (cloth or black interior please)! The CCB calipers goes perfect with the blue too

Flat (not matte) would be very motorsport.

The metallic addition makes it a little cheesy and more 'luxury'.

But of course I withhold final judgement until seeing it in person.

You are not. There better be another blue offered: Lemans, Interlagos, San Marino, or Monte Carlo would ALL be better alternatives than Yas.
