Spoke to BMW NA today. This was the least helpful they've been in the many yrs I've been dealing with them. I was basically told to call my parts mgr as they don't deal with kind of stuff....wtf. When I asked for her extension so I could follow up she said we don't have extensions (I had for previous interactions).
Anyway I followed the directions and called my parts mgr. Apparently there are over 130 back ordered to be shipped to US on March 11.
So why so many broken knuckles , can't be 130 + ppl with camber-plates.......?
One other interesting piece is my car was in for a navigation issue when this was diagnosed. How/why would they be looking in my wheel well for that when the car was just serviced there the month before, if they were not directed to ? I asked them to look into that too.....
So "possibly" end of March early April for getting our cars fixed........

Bmw knows about the problem 200 percent sure! They don't look under your car for no reason.

Report this to the Nhtsa immediately. Bmw is a bunch of crooks the way they treat us like dogs.

I heard some are coming this week to next month. It's crazy... I think those parts are taking so long because they're being reinforced or reengineer. I don't see no reason as to why they'd take so long. Next month (March 2019), is going to be six months wait for me. Smh.

With that many on order are they honoring your warranty? Really crazy.

Bmw knows its an issue, the keep pushing and pushing the date back, I wouldn't be surprised if they had new part numbers, Lets see if they actually start shipping them soon.

I wonder if it is a changed part or perhaps they are being made by different supplier to try to get these in a more timely manner. This would also explain a superseded #. The OG's were essentially a one off type part. We were told that.

I've been told the parts have arrived in Germany and should be here "soon".
And better news is the BMW IS covering the repair

I was at the dealer today and the parts department said 3 more weeks the parts will ship from Germany and they changed the part number! I feel bad for the people with cracked ones that can't enjoy their car for safety reasons.

SHAME on BMW for this. I have never heard of a company taking this long for replacement parts.

I'm glad to hear BMW is covering the repair as I have camber plates as well.

As a side note, when I installed my Ground Control plates you don't even have to loosen that pinch bolt. There is enough travel in the suspension to lower and R&R the camber plate. But, I'm guessing BMW was trying to say that even the increased camber was contributing to the failure.

Thankfully BMW stepped up to the plate and is remedying the situation. Thanks for the update
