What is the best way to find out if a wheel fits?
Currently looking at a set of 19' BBS C-HR on stock suspension. I really want to do 9.5' front and 11' rear, the website im shopping on (i have credit for so im kind of stuck on this store) has +35 offset in the front and +56 offset in the back. Plan on running Michellin Cup sport 2s on them.. Can't find a reliable way to see if it'll fit, any pointers? Thanks

Take old wheel off. Put new wheel on.
You can check out apex race parts website. They have a bunch of fitment info. |

Hey Vic.
Check out 1010tires.com They have a wheel offset calculator that you can plug in the oem values and new values you want to check. It'll tell you how much they'll stick out or stick in. I'm running 9.5 front with 22 offset. Anything higher will probably need spacers. Anything lower you'll need negative camber/fender rolling. Rear is 11" wide with 44 offset. |

Lots of people, myself included, use a ~20mm spacer up front for track use. This allows me to fit the widest tire/wheel to help combat understeer and to use a square set-up (10.5x18 ET40)....I can rotate tires front to rear and left to right for longevity. On the street you probably just want a direct fitment tho.

www.willtheyfit.com
I use this website all the time. While it doesn't actually tell you if it'll fit per se (b/c it doesn't know or care what kind of car you have), you can use your current wheels as a reference and see how much more or less they'll be pushed in or out, toward or away from the suspension/fender. It's also a good tool to use when buying spacers. For example, I've got 513M (18x10 et40) with 15mm spacers on the rear (effectively making them et25). My new rear wheels (arriving Monday!) are 19x11 et40. According to the willtheyfit, my new setup will sit 27.7mm closer to the strut and 2.3mm less toward the fender than the current setup. When I reach my hand up there now, I've got more than 1" of clearance between the tire and the strut so I know I'll be fine with the new ones.
