Maybe there's something wrong with the way I have it configured, but ISTA+ supports ENET for the diagnostic part. I haven't been able to ISTA+ and ENET to work for coding/flashing. ISTA+ and ICOM seem to work fine for coding/flashing.

I should start using nested quotes as well. It will be really awesome at that point.

Yes. must be, as ISTA/D and ISTA/P with ENET work fine.

Many people including myself haven't been able to get ISTA/D using ENET for programming. We all end up getting the same measurement failure screen ... Not sure if shawnsheridan is saying otherwise. Details are over at car tech.

From reading multiple forums, the consensus is that you need ICOM physical interface (the box not the simulator) to get ISTA/D programming. Some local members PM'ed some sketchy details to get ISTA/D programming over ENET with an ICOM emulator, but networking is so finicky and apparently its very slow.

IMHO, if you are comfortable with Esys (scope of this thread), use that instead.

No, I am not talking about new ISTA/D with Programming. That is not fully implemented yet, and likely wont be until October. I am talking about standalone ISTA/P and ISTA/D.

@shawnsheridan, some errors at the end of TAL execution, is it again the stupid ignition ? or a dependency? This is when i was flashing EGS, GHAS, VDC. car is alive though but with the usual transport mode and faults.

I cannot tell if any is Dependency Related. RDBI_SVK is for Write Data By Identifier, and thus usually VIN related. _ETHERNET could be because DHCP Server is needed.

hmmm, if i want to reflash those units, how do i go about it in Esys given that now they show with the new swfl, ...

Rheingold gave some errors that make me feel they need to be reflashed, i think the ignition went off during the TAL execution, i know its not possible but it looked like it did.

ok I removed transport mode, but Rheingold still reports that no current coding data is stored for GHAS ... And there's a cluster msg "chassis stabilization, drive moderately". Ok just cleared all errors in Rheingold after delete transport, and no more error on cluster. Started car and moved it a bit, no issues, it's pouring bad now so I am gonna wait for a drive. What the heck happened ...

Car is complete fine it's just I needed to delete transport mode and erase all faults... I'll dig into all this stuff after, now continue driving

shawnsheridan as usual thanks for your prompt relies and support

Good job! Now flash everything else for good measure .

I had a ton of faults after the flash, but I didn't pay much attention to them. I just cleared them and then fixed the ones that were present after being cleared (LED headlight, windows regulator).

Did the power supplies work at 13.6v?

terahertz , yes it stayed steady at 13.4V under load, so setting it to 13.6V may probably have helped

BTW, you are absolutely correct about the DCT (EGS), it feels much nicer and smoother, and I think to appreciate 58.3, requires flashing the Phase 1 & 2 I did: DME, DSC, ICM, EGS, VDC, GHAS or to simplify just do the whole damn thing...

For now I will relax :-) and flash everything else another time, I need to understand few things about what happened: ignition, timeouts, ethernet connection and my new Sandisk Ultra3 tiny USB3 key i used for storing FULL psdzdata.
