It's been over 2 years since the master list has been updated. I can't imagine the amount of new times that have to be input.

Couldn't get there (sub 2) without cheater tires. A buddy ran 56's in his F80 with BFG R1 a few weeks ago.

Damn, that is fast. I was only able to get in the 1:55's with my M4 convertible in early November. It was my first time there so i think i could break high 1:40's but no way I'm getting anywhere near the 1:30's without some major work. What kind of times do you run at AMP?

Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar3 275/35-18 square (day 3 on them)

This was my first time at ECR and I really enjoyed it. The track is fun and quick with a good amount of blind exits due to elevation changes. I found it a challenging track to pick up speed on due to a visibility limitation (sitting too low) and perhaps not having enough roll control on the car—I was fighting some terrible fender rubbing because I'd set the car too low. Looking forward to going back and cutting some time off.

Falken Azenis RT660 275/35-18 (full tread)

Back at COTA and after an extremely wet day, was able to find some grip and time in the sun. I really enjoyed the RT660s and believe they are faster than the SC3 (only other tire I've ever tracked on), but looking at data, they don't seem to be pulling any more lateral Gs. This is probably due to me learning the tire and not maximizing them. I've got a slightly faster rolling time of 2:32.24 and a theoretical of 2:31.7 using 4 splits.

Definitely know I can pick up time braking into T11 and 12 as well as exits of T18 and 19 so maybe there's a low 2:31/high 2:30 in me and the car as it sits now. I'm about to change to DS1.11 pads—hopefully not a downgrade in braking performance for the tire I'm running.

DS3.12 have much more initial bite than 1.11, but might be a better match w rt660

I found 1.11 to have extremely poor longevity, they seem to wear like butter. I went through a set of the fronts over ~2.5 days at NJMP Lightning (a shorter course with 2 major braking zones of around 140>70 and 120>60). I've never considered myself good/fast enough to be a bigtime brake-killer, so this surprised me. Now this is on stock system except for SRF, so maybe with your BBK that deals with heat much better you'll get more life out of them.

I have little experience with. various pads and used the opportunity when switching to the APs to try the DS3.12. I'd only previously run Pagid RSL29s—decent pad, but weird pedal feel. The 3.12s are pretty fantastic but I feel with my tire choice (especially on the SC3s), they're a hair too aggressive and don't offer as much fidelity as I would like. What I mean is I often find myself too soft on initial braking to avoid instant ABS. My hope is the 1.11s will offer that fidelity, if not I can always continue to run the 3.12s... or try yet another pad.

Yikes. I hope I don't have that experience. I've gotten 4 days out of my 3.12s (5 if you count a wet day where I doubt there was much wear) and they're about 40% life left. 2 of those days were at COTA which is not easy on pad wear.

I agree about 1.11 going pretty quick.
I ran PFC08 on my oem setup for 9~ track days. With good bit of life still in the pads after that.
Then i upgraded to ap racing 9660 and tried out 1.11 the last year or so.

I figured i would get better life outa my pads with the bbk. That was not the case so far... I did 8~events. (6 thunderhill, 1 sonoma, 1 laguna seca). After my laguna event in December my 1.11 are ready for replacement.

Im not sure if the pfc compound was just better? Maybe im pushing harder? Maybe my expectations on bbk and wear were off? Wont know till i try some other compound.

Ive been looking at going back to PFC. Although it seems 08/011 compound is not available for 9660. Dont know much about the 33? that is available. Need to look into it further.

Also interested in stepping up to the 3.12 possibly. Will either be 3.12 or pfc most likely.

.
IMO, the PFC compounds are just the best.

If 33x compound is available for your BBK, get it. The 331/332 pads are incredible, albeit noisy on the street. The 11 compound was great on track and I never had to switch it out, but the 33X stuff lasts longer.

That was the feeling i was getting, the little research i did. That was the compound. Good to know. This would be for my track set, so noise is no issue.

I preferred the feel of the PFC to the ferodo also.

All Ferodos wear like cheese on a grater for me and it's sad because I REALLY like 1.11s but they're just not worth the money considering they're worth a weekend at the Glen.

PFC08/11 lasted forevvvvvvvvvvver.

I've recently switched to Hawks DTC70/DTC60 F/R combo on the R8 and I really regret not using them sooner. Their performance is exceptional and the prices really sets them apart from the other popular guys.

Colorado lap times in a DCT F80

Lap time Your screen name CarType 6MT or blank (tires, pads, coilovers)

Video if you have it, preferably of your fast lap or a lap nearly as fast. Other board members may find it useful to look at your lines or driving style.

I'd like to keep this thread fairly clean. A few posts of commendation or constructive criticism is OK, but if you must go off on a lengthy discussion with another member please start another thread.

Again, the main point of this thread is for data collection. It is NOT a competition. Do not hesitate to post even if you feel your times are slow. More than likely you will improve on your own times very soon and can reference this thread for yourself.
These are my best lap times from 2020 and 2021, but as OP MaynardZed said, they could serve as data points for me (and others) as this year I should be on a full coilover setup rather than just Swift lowering springs, Vorshlag camber plates, a Hotchkis front bar, and wide wheels/tires... I'm certainly not a great driver, but I'm an old guy who's pretty experienced at driving these two tracks, so any significant reductions in lap time will be from improvements to my car's setup/grip (or just supremely ideal track conditions) rather than from me getting any better at driving—sad to say, my abilities have pretty much plateaued.
