Requesting: Pics of either 265/35 285/35, or 275/30 295/30 tires on 437M
I am literally having the hardest time deciding over a couple of mm. I have a 2016 F80 with 437M wheels. I'm going to need tires this year and I can't decide which looks better to me. I'm lowered on Eibach Euro V1. I plan to autocross and tracknight as many times as I can with work and family balance. I daily this car also. I've seen some pics online but I need more lol! Better lighting, better angles, and more on F80. Please give me some more material to work with. Let me know the tire sizes and model, suspension, and if you're on spacers.

On stock wheels and suspension I'd suggest 265/35 fronts and 285/35 (or 295/35) to get grip the RE71R is great but loud. MPS4S is also great but not loud, and comes in 295/35 for rears too.
I've run 275 up front but steering felt heavy. When I ran the 295/30 rear it looked short.

Are you not running 295/35 in the rear because you are lowered? I think 295/35/19 rear stock height is fine and shouldn't rub right?

Since stock is 255 front and 275 rear, and by keeping a 10mm increase front and rear it keeps the ratio the same. If you add a much wider rear than front, you'll have more understeer.

Dont have really good pic but here you go. 265/285 is the best looking tire size for stock rims. However i regret getting them because on the track front tire rolls over way more than 255 and requires additional camber to not get destroyed too quickly

This helps to see how tall the sidewall is. I saw an F80 today with the 275/295/35 combo on 437. They look good but IMO I didn't like how much sidewall you get with that setup. That's why I was hoping someone with a 275/295/30 on 437 would chime in with some pics. I'm worried that setup won't have enough sidewall for daily driving in PA. also don't want to bring back the wheel gap I took out with the euro V1s. Thank you for posting pics!

I would like to see pics of 295/30 on the rear stock 19" as well. I'm aware of all the "which tires" posts, and the DSC intervention issues, because of the stagger. I plan on leaving stock 255/35 fronts and 295/30 for rears, ( 26" rolling diameter on front and rears instead of 26"/26.6")
For the people that report about unnecessary DSC intervention, and even with MDM on, does this apply to track use only or is it going to affect me when I drive straight, such as a rolling race. Last edited by Gotulukn; 03-20-2021 at 04:10 AM.. |
