Honestly, a good used DCT transmission can be got for $1k give or take. Maybe just go with a new DCT?

I ended up deciding to do a full trans swap with a DCT that has 55k miles and a 3 year parts warranty. That was basically the best in the market available now.

Car isn't worth putting $20k in (to me) for a new trans, so I will take the gamble on a used one. Going to get some upgrades done while the car is taken apart.

Bimmers Service Center in Roswell has been great so far.
