What's weird about this whole thing is, how today, having more than 3k miles on these "special" cars is considered high mileage HA! That one that was bought for 63k is probably because of 7k miles. All others around 1-2k are in the 70's.

I've had a share of high end, "unique" cars, and after 4 years, I think GTS is still holding okay. Imagine if you were one of the first owners that paid 20-30K ADM for the GT350R... because ford promised it'll only be 2 year run... 4 years later they're still making them, and that 20k that you paid for will never come back.

For high-line cars anything more than 1-2k per year is considered high. Rolls Royce? Under 1k per.

But the market is what it is.

with that being said, every single special edition M3 sold in the states has held value or appreciated. will the GTS - sold in very llmited quantity and arguably the biggest value-add in terms of real content - be the first and only one to drop like a rock? none of us know for sure, but i would say no. maybe the people who paid $132k will never recoup their money, but you guys paying 70-80 probably will.
I'm sure the values will eventually creep up.

CSL values in Europe dropped and dropped... until they stopped dropping and started appreciating.

Even though the M4GTS is a killer kit out of the gates. The E92 is still the first and last V8 M3

Maybe why the values are effected?

Frozen Editions + LimeRocks + CRT + GTS E92 are the ones that will go up over time for
Sure.

M4 only the GTS will once the new car comes out and settles. Give it 5 years and watch

Same is happening with the M4 Gts in Europe. Went down to $130,000. Now all of them are over $150,000 and up to $200,000 in Germany and France.
At 80,000 here it will probably keep its value, even if you put a few miles on it.
Regular M4s, including the Cs will keep sinking.... just too many of them. Already down to 35,000 or less for 2015 M4s.
My point, if you only need a weekend car, get the Gts. You will not regret it.

Yup. Besides, I want a GTS for track use so the depreciation is not my concern.

I'd bet the CS I have will depreciate way more.

All but one of the auction cars over the past year+ were gray? Believe this was the most popular/produced color for the GTS (47% of total per https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...78&postcount=2), but seems an interesting trend. No offense to my frozen brothers, but must be a harder sell?

I am curious if I'll regret the frozen grey, in a similar manner to past fashion trends that aged poorly. I hope it doesn't crater in price, as I'm sure in 3-5 years I'll want to pick up some other car to act as the halo car in the garage.

If the G82 M4 keeps the bucktooth grille through the whole run then I suspect the GTS will be the last road-going BMW coupe I buy. The G82 might prop up F82 prices a bit, time will tell.

Honestly, I prefer the frozen color. Soooo much easier to maintain... Always looks good, no swirls and junk like that (even though mine has ppf). Plus, color should be the least of anyones problem. It's so easy to wrap a car any color, now days. On top of that, it protects the original paint and gives you that "new car" look HA!

I'm following this thread as a CS owner and hoping that a run of only roughly 1,200 M3 CS might make it rare enough. Honestly though, who knows. In another 18-20 months a bunch of CS will be coming off lease so that will be interesting to see what the market does.

All I know is, I got a smokin deal on my CS last December (it was a June production and just sat on the lot forever).

I daily drive it and love every mile. Would have loved to get a GTS, but with three kids under 10 I think my wife would have been mad if I tried to strap car seats to the roll bars. 🤣

Actually 550 to US So perhaps even better.
Missed you at AMP last weekend.

When you visit Thermal later this month ask the instructors of their impression of GTS vs. CS. I think you will be surprised...

Ran out of luck it's the 507 to the C63 Black Series. Still will hold better than a standard one or a comp.

Beautiful car my friend got a smoking deal too
20k of MSRP lmao

Highest mileage GTS I've seen is currently listed private-party for $68k with 29.5k miles -> https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...ngId=541803931. Be interesting to see what it eventually goes for. Could make for a great starting platform for someone looking to do what YMS is doing to his GTS.
