Removing seized and rusted bolts on oem mid pipes
I got my mid pipes and other items in this last week from Mike at X-PH which included the single MAD mid pipe. Jacked the car up, got under it and went to try and get the oem mid pipes unbolted and can't seem to get them off. PB blaster on the bolts multiple times and even took a torch to try and help brake off the rust with no luck. Any advice or suggestions?

i would spray some penetrating oil on the rusted bolts, let it sit overnight then hit it with an impact gun. make sure you are using a 6point socket....

When switching to an aftermarket mid pipe after 45k miles, had to have a shop break the bolt head off and then use a torch to hammer out the remainder of the bolt. This was after 2 days of PB blaster + air impact. There's probably a better way to do it but that's what it took for me.

Soak with CRC/Blaster overnight. Heat the nuts with a small torch (fire caution, heat barrier). The nuts will expand and the crap on the threads cooks off some. Use the 6-point socket as mentioned above. If no luck then put a whizzer through the stud/nut or torch cut. You should get a new flange and nuts, I got my extras from FCP Euro so I can swap those nuts when they get cruddy.
