Mine is non-ZCP, and it behaves exactly like what hellokitty described.

So with the factory tune, the valves dont open until 3.5K even in sport/sport plus??
Not sure if that's the exact rpm but it def needs to be up there along with other throttle input parameters.

Basically if you are sitting still with a base tune car and go from efficient to sport mode, nothing will happen to the valves. But if you are sitting still with ZCP or CS tune and go from efficient to sport you will immediately hear the valves open even before driving off.
This is not my experience with a non-zcp, manual.

when in Sport/sport+ my valves are always open in first and second gear. in third gear and above, they only open when hitting a certain RPM and % throttle input, but close afterwards to prevent droning.

when you first switch to sport/sport+ from efficient (and in 1st/2nd), you can give a quick blip to the throttle and valves open right away.

maybe things are different with a DCT.

My car is a non-ZCP manual as well. Perhaps I am remembering the valve behavior wrong? I have been tuned for a long time but I don't recall the valves opening immediately after changing throttle settings, only when hitting certain rpm/throttle inputs.
