From my research, 500 were made globally.

Of the 500:
-150 USA
-30 South Africa
-30 Australia
-30 United Kingdom

Haven’t been able to find more data on allocations per country but seems to be 30 units per country to coincide with the 30th anniversary. USA being a large market received 5x the normal amount. Digging further, there is little info on 6spd cs DCT volumes for 30 Jahre.

My car is currently waiting on a new driver seat cover (under warranty) due to stitching separating. Something to consider for Jahre owners as it is a custom seat cover that is not readily available off the shelf. BMW is making a one off for my car and will take 2-4 weeks.

Is there a way to figure out what number out of the 500 our cars are?

Check out the sticky at the top of the forum that has production data. There were 567 30 Jahre cars made, and 180 in the US configuration. I cannot find the source right now, but IIRC, somewhere between only 30-50 of the US cars were manual. Almost all RoW 30 Jahre cars were DCT, regardless of LHD or RHD.

I’m pretty sure SickFinga can help us here, too, since the VINs are sequential, but it could take some time to do the analysis.

Good to know. I have the same problem with both front seats.

I am curious if there is already a list in the work to distinguish the build number of the Jahre edition M3s. Since each one comes with the exact same plaque of 1 out of 500, I would like to know what # out of 500 my vehicle could be.

I have considered starting a thread to specify the last 7 digits of the VIN of the Jahre editions. This would need contribution from the community but would not be truly accurate of all 500 units.

That would explain the discrepancy between the claimed 150 units to the US and the 180 shown in the production data for 8M93 Variant 3.

After much searching for the right M3 for me - found this one that checks all the boxes - and it was local with 1,100 miles😀 previous owner clear bra most of the car and no holes on the bumper from the license plate - break in service completed and what a joy to drive.
