Stage 2 OTS, downpipes + bmc drop in ¿ Low Numbers ?

Hi, I just finished my stage 2 OTS and the car looks like it is still stage 1 ..

I have installed downpipes and bmc drop in the rest all the same

Stage 1 marked 515hp now 530hp with stage 2 ...

Looking with the logs the amount of air consumed I get the calculation even worse about 520hp real

Is this normal? Before it was a consistent 7.8 100-200 kph now 7.6 roughly (I've only been able to test a couple of times)

I see that many OTS stage 2 are in 7 seconds or even less .. and with stage 1 they were like me before.

Thank you

Alcobendas,

First off I think 7 seconds 60-130MPH (or 100-200k for you) is not reasonable with an OTS tune. You will see in the sticky post leaderboard that everyone in the sevens is running a custom alcohol tune. I worked very hard to make a 6.99 with a stick shift on my F80Paul E80 tune. Before that I was at 8.8-9sec on 93AKI, 8.6sec with Octane Booster (97AKI), and 8.3-8.7sec on 30%Ethanol. No meth in use.

I see in your log you got a knock at 6300RPM in 4th gear, and your 4th gear timing was inconsistent. Which fuel are you running? Exactly which map did you load? Which fuels can you get?

Also, for your next log, please start at exactly 95Kph in 3rd gear, floor the gas pedal, at exactly 6200RPM shift into 4th and stay in 4th to 220Kph (about 7200RPM). This will give you a solid rip.

Thanks for reply! 60 130 It is much slower than 100-200kph .. I think it will go in more than 8.5 seconds But my tests on the 100-200 with other users are slower already in stage 2 .. in stage 1 they were the same.

I use ots stage 2 93 ... gasoline is premium 98 ron (the right one)

I am using stock spark plugs, in the future I will install the cold ones ... that may be the problem

What does it mean to have 1 in knock? In misfire, what was I looking at, I always see 0 ... would you recommend put other time the stage 1?

thanks for the help!

Pd: i see my stage 1 logs and the same in 4 gear at 6500 1 knock

If you have access to Ethanol or E85 try adding 1-2 gallons to a full tank of gas. I think you got some crappy fuel.

No need to replace plugs for Stage2 or 2H OTS. Just gap your stockers down to 0.022in using a proper gap tool or buy new stock plugs and have a shop gap them for you. DON'T do the 0.018 gaps unless you have spark blowouts (way high boost), because your car will idle rough in the morning startup.

Stick with the Stage 2 93 tune. Need to compare new logs against same tune.

You do not need booster every time...just add some this time because gas quality is not sure. Try to raise 3 numbers, using the amount in your tank now (don't add more gas). Drive 20minutes to mix it in, and to warm everything up.

Log like I said before. Post link again. Will keep helping.

Ok, good. If timing still messed up just do a bunch of pulls to run out that gas and get a new half tank from another good spot. If this happens then we know the fuel is good and look other places.

News!!

First pull with a lot octane booster:

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fd4...729b73389af121

others before

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fd4...90c65d5e547a33

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fd4...0b43638aeb608b

Now put the 91 ots map! same config burbles and others tan 93 and same fuel last pulls

pull 91 map:

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fd4...90c65df64c367a

https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=5fd4...90c65df64c367b

Use draggy all pulls and with 91map better times 7,26 100-200kmh

I ran out of gasoline, I put 98 gasoline from another station and the times were still good .. (not more logs) I think I will use map 91 .. I have seen that the turbo pressure is the same, but it puts a little more lambda gasoline and a little less ingnition

I hope opinions

I looked at all your logs and set the views to only show Ignition Timings 1..6. If you do this you will see that cylinder #4 is problematic on all of your pulls. Other pulls show 4, 5, 6 or 1 off. I don't think the issue is your fuel quality, but the bad fuel and higher timing showed the problem more. The 91 map asks for less timing so less problem shows. Your 3-4 with booster was the cleanest log so far.

I suggest that you look at your spark plugs really good for cracks and check that the gaps are 0.021". If your current plugs have more than 16K kilometers just consider new plugs. If you still have problems the dealership should test your coils. I really think that #4 cylinder is throwing things off...and maybe #1 too.

I'd like to hear what the other more experienced members think about your logs too.

Jimmy you are a crack! I will consider the change of spark plugs, I have some already prepared (that if 1º cooler) gaps at 0.22º and all the new hitachi coils too .. all in a box .. I have a big revision in June and was expected for the change .. the car has 110k kilometers ... the coils won't be very good anymore ... plugs 15k kilometers now.
