Just got my RFGT4 19s and can't choose a tire combo...

I've been reading a lot over the past 3-4 month and I'm just stuck mentally...

In my move to 19s I wanted the CS look while hopefully making the car more comfortable since I truly daily drive this car. I'm going to get rid of my 666m shadows.

What tire sizes should I run to keep the car looking correct and handling great AND NOT go harsher for the sake of "going bigger"?

I've been thinking
265/35/19 for fronts
285/35/19 for rears
295/35/19 for rears

I want to keep my ZCP stock forever and want it to be as comfortable as possible b/c I truly daily drive it and love it!

I would probably stick with the 265/285 tires to stay similar with the 666m widths.
I sold my 666’s off the M4 and now am driving on 18” rims. I will be swapping from NT01’s to Michelin PS4s this weekend, tires will be 265/35/18 & 285/35/18 on Titan7 rims.

Also, post up some pics once you have your new wheels mounted.

Yeah I'm feeling the 265/285 combo too…

I mean I'd like to say "I have 295s".

But really I just want the car to handle the same and be more comfortable.

A meatier look too would be nice.

265/35/19 fronts
305/30/19 rears (or 295/35)
These cars need traction…

What about traction control, when going more than 2 sizes difference?

Plus rubbing issues going up to 295….

Those two things seem to be hit or miss on F80s. With F82s, yes no questions needed, you go 295 or 305 if not lowered.

TC no probs with those sizes…both are about 26" (I think rear 305 was 26.3", just fine). My F80 has MP-HAS but not slammed. Front 275/35 rubbed a little but 265/35 clears. Rear 305 didn't rub on either my F80 or F82 (10.5ET35 wheel). My F82 is base suspension, and I've got 325/30/19 on 11.5ET45 out back with no rubbing, those rubbed a little on my F80 because of the HAS. Jacking it up would have fit.

So you're running a 305 now on your F80 with a ET35 10.5" wheel? And no rubbing, even though your slightly dropped?

That is correct, no rubs even when fully loaded and bumpy country roads. Bridgestone RE-71Rs on BBS CI-r. I even had MP-HAS down a little from BMW recommended settings.

That's great to know on fully loaded. Most people don't factor that in it seems when they're reviewing. I have passengers often so that's good to hear.

Just got the 295s put on today. Fingers crossed I don't have an outlier of a vehicle for any reason.

Looks great!

If you start to notice any chatter from stones coming up the sides a set of Tommy L Garage mini flaps help tons.

Great to know thanks!

The car really has traction now!! I didn't realize how piss poor my half worn PSSs were.

The DCT shifts so violently and the car just lurches forward from traction with each shift.

And I haven't even turned MDM on : 0
