In an advanced society we respect the rights of others and expect others to do the same. Would it be okay if you check into a hotel and the hotel staff goes through your belongings and browse some porn on your laptop while cleaning the room? Besides excessive wear and tear which cost money, there is a potential safety issue as well. What if they broke something during the joy ride and cause me to have an accident on the highway? If they damaged your wife's X5 and the mechanical damage caused an accident on the highway killing your wife. Will that be okay? You might not care about your own car and that certainly is your prerogative. Just remember that your opinion on this particular subject matter likely differ quite a bit from the general public. But hey it's okay to be a little special. |

Videos like this confirm why I despise valet parking. Good work to the internet sleuths out there digging up the details.

If anyone ever valets at the W Hotel in Minneapolis, they are the worst so avoid it. As soon as they turn the corner they floor it, burn some rubber, never stop at stop signs or lights, and generally act irresponsibly that may someday hurt themselves or someone else.

Now, not trying to be argumentative and I am just genuinely curious. How would you respond to the question that I posed earlier, that: "Would it be okay if you check into a hotel and the hotel staff goes through your belongings and browse some porn on your laptop while cleaning the room?" or What if that cleaning staff took $100 out of your luggage? |

Just used valet the other day. Went in the restaurant and 2 minutes later my friends from out of town came in. They were laughing saying how loud my car was - I thought they were joking until the lady said "I like the pop pop pop it makes". Yea, that was my car alright (the 650 does that and it is most cool).
I asked the valet if he had fun when I picked up the car, mentioning my friends heard him pull away. He sheepishly laughed and said guilty as charged. Car of course seems fine, except I think he was playing with it the entire time during dinner. When I picked it up, it was not only warm, but the hill descent control was on? And I have also had my suspicions about a certain Chicago area dealer as well with my 1M. When I compare the mileage in on my paperwork with the miles on the car when I pick it up, it always appears to have an extra 10-20 miles on it.

The way he was driving it through the parking garage was simply reckless. I find it amusing that some here believe the guy deserves a pass for this. Not to mention the fact that this was all going on while he was on the clock. Don't know how many of you own or have ever ran a business but that kind of behavior is simply unacceptable when someone else is paying you for your time. The fact that he is using his job to joyride other people's cars and regularly upload content to YouTube is ridiculous. If some of you are going to make the argument that perhaps he NEEDS the job and thus shouldn't lose it over this are simply not considering the fact that he most likely does not DESERVE the job. I define acceptable professional behavior in a very simple way, if you are doing something which, if the customer was present and watching, would be detrimental to your job or the business, then you simply shouldn't do it. So he didn't run anyone over or damage anyone's property (that we know of) in this particular video, but the guy has plenty of other videos after this, indicating he intends to continue. I guess some will find this acceptable or give him a pass until the unspeakable does happen, and it's not a matter of if, rather of when.

Like many of you, I hate giving my car (whatever I'm driving) to the valet.
It really is disturbing how that valet is driving the car...but I have a different perspective... If he is driving these cars like he is when the camera is on, what is he doing to these cars when the camera is off? Its simply a matter of trust. I don't trust my cars with the valet. |

I completely agree with the frustration and anger expressed in this thread but I do not think it's fair to paint all valets with the same brush.
I valeted for awhile a couple years back to earn a little extra cash. I worked at a very "high-end" shopping area (outdoor mall things we have all over Phoenix) - a Mercedes was as common as a Toyota and having a Porsche, Ferrari, or GTR pull up was no big deal. We all hear horror stories of immature punks joyriding valeted cars but we also all see the same videos and hear the same types of stories about dealership service departments. Everyone boycotts valet companies but we fully entrust dealerships? Frankly, I trusted my fellow valets at the time more than I trust a lot of dealer technicians or lot attendants. |

Now if the abusive valet had cost you $100 worth of gas, tire wear and brake wear. Wouldn't you equate that to stealing $100 from your wallet? Not suggesting that this particular idiot did $100 worth of damage or not. |

If you aren't professional when handling other people's property you should be fired. Period. This is a job, not an excuse to play with people's cars.
And he puts out titles like "Valet DRIFTS a Mercedes S63 ///AMG"....hell no |
