My understanding is that 18" ARC-8 barrel won't fit over the front 4 pot calipers of the irons. But a 19' wheel would only fit a helluva monster truck .

I was told the 19' arc 8 already fit over the steels, i was wondering if they were working on a developmental 19' arc-8 set that has a higher offset and can run a much wider tire. man can dream

Good catch.
But for fitment purpose, it does not really matter .

After a week of Time Attack, there is no question in my mind that the F8X chassis need a staggered setup to get good laptimes on a road course. All week even with my 10" & 11"s and 275/295 setup we fought oversteer issues mid corner & on exits on power application. This chassis turns in so well compared to the E9X M3's rear grip becomes much more of an issue.I need 18's also for the better selection of proper sized tires.

We've been working on big things behind the scenes. We'll have our official post up by this time next week. It's done, just waiting on a key detail.

Would you be able to recommend some track tires as well to go with your new fitments? I've had a fairly hard time trying match up a good stagger - say 295/305 or perhaps 285/305. Like I said, any idea or suggestion would be welcome.

I will be doing the same as CanAutM3. Already have the 305 Nittos on my Porsche in good condition. Will be switching out to Hoosiers on the RS.

This is especially needed for those who have to run 19's w/ CCB's. Trofeo R's and R888's cant be the only good options. Michelin Pilot sport cup 2's are another...

I'm finishing up a tire write-up to compliment the 1st tech article. It will list all the recommended tire combinations available for 18" setups. I'm working on the same thing for 19's.

Eddy, I'm assuming the upcoming 18x11 EC-7 will clear the Stoptech Trophy Kit?
Will there be an 18x11 ARC-8 offering that will clear the Stoptech Trophy Kit? |
