Crank Hub at an affordable price

So I came across this tidbit of information on a crank hub so I ordered one and at $699 was more then affordable just came in and the quality is second to non it is identical to the SSR 4 pin at half the cost. Thought I’d pass on the info for anyone looking for another option and any money saved would be welcome since it’s a costly project

They have it without the cbc even cheaper.

I wonder about the metal quality though. The machining doesn't look amazing.

Going cheap on a part that is so crucial to saving your engine is just dumb... especially when the labor is the most expensive part of the job.

Do yourself a favor and get a name brand / proven CH.

You would have a different opinion if you had the two parts in question in your hands at the same time. And if asked which one is which I put money that you have a difficult time identifying, which one is which. With my background in aviation there are only a hand full of suppliers for certain items. If all these people had 4axis CNS machines which even used cost a fortune it would still just be a hand full of people supplying them under a private label. But hey what do I know I just have an aeronautical engineering degree. I’m 110% confident in this part and how it will perform, I figured I’d post up and alternate option for anyone looking that’s it nothing more.

I stand by what I said. I wouldn't chance such a crucial part based on your opinion nor should anyone else. Anybody doing this upgrade should get the best one they can find based on numerous proven examples over the years. The original MaxPSI / SSR CH for example, has thousands of proven units floating around these days. BUY ONCE CRY ONCE. Don't do something for the peace of mind, then be cheap with it.

Anybody trying to penny pinch a few hundred bucks for the reliability of this car got the wrong car.

Hey man, was just curious did you ever end up installing the EuroKlasse hub into your car. Saw it online as a cheap alternative to do so, if u have installed how has it performed and are you confident it will work with high power?

I have this crankhub installed on my car, zero issues. Installer that did it for me uses this same one on others, he's done over 100+ as far as I know without any failures

If you’re in the aviation industry with an “aeronautical engineering degree. I’m 110% confident in this part and how it will perform” then you’re aware of the forgery, not forged, titanium ti-6al-4v issues from the mid to late 2000s? You could’ve held a forged Ti-6al-4v in one hand vs. a forgery Ti-6al-4v in your other hand and, just like your earlier statement, you would’ve been 110% wrong. I work with material engineers with more than 40 years of experience that can’t tell the difference between two alloys by just holding them in their hands.

I thought the Vargas v2 spline lock was a well priced option. If it's good enough for shops like eas and bimmerworld it's good enough for me.

we offer a few crank hubs options but this product stopped being a good seller for us for a long time, we also don't offer either brands mentioned in this thread.

I don't care about promoting it given that this is not a major seller for us, but going Ebay cheap on a part this important is insane to me, the results could be catastrophic.

Nothing! They’ve held real and copied versions in their hands and have conclusively stated the parts are identical so there’s no differences in material certs, machining of critical features, such as splines and gear teeth, as well as fit and function. That $300 saved on protecting their s55 can be spent on other cheap poor-fitting Ali CF cosmetic parts or fake oled taillights.

My GOD ALL you keyboard warriors getting upset at the decisions other people have made you guys act like this is the most important thing to you. I made a decision I stuck by it 10,000 miles of hard driving reassuring me. I’m good if you’re not satisfied with my decision find another thread to jump on, but don’t try and impose your views, your ideals, or your way of thinking onto anyone that’s not looking for it. Man, I’m just gonna unsubscribe from this thread some of you have no life outside of your computer or your car.
