What's the size of the standard brakes?

What's the size of the standard brakes? And how many pistons in the front and rear calipers?

Did you try to search?

This is the most recent thread on the size, I believe:

http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=942043

It appears to be still unknown for sure. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Try this Google search for the number of pistons:

brake piston site:f80.bimmerpost.com

In the future, I would urge you to try searching before you create a new post.

You've been active long enough to understand the function. Please use it.

Interesting that the OP's question generates 3 responses demanding he search and 1 response with the answer. If one of you scolds had only given the answer as your first response, the thread would have been much smaller.

BTW, the search function on this board is completely lame. When I searched for "M3 brake size" it returned this thread and nothing else. Modern search engines are so much better than what is supplied by bimmerpost that you are actually better off doing a Google search outside of the forum, even if the results end up coming from bimmerpost.

I count 2 posts with answers, 1 post politely suggesting a search, and 2 others with a bit less patience or tact.

By the way, the guy who gave the rotor size did not provide a source so it may or may not be correct information.

A suggestion to search is an appropriate response to someone who has already created another duplicate thread (now deleted) and been asked to search in that case as well.

If you don't like the forum search function, try Google. I've given an example in my post.
