At those prices, I considered going up 10 mm or down 10 mm, but no go for my car.

Sounds good, I'll grab a set while I can.
But I might wait a week or so due to the current TX weather.

Are you saying you wouldn't run these 265/35R19's and 295/30R20's on your M3 CS? Thinking about ordering for this price. 265's I don't see an issue with, 295's might, although I have run 295/30R20's in PS4S with no issues on my M3 CS. I'm currently on 285/35R20 RE71R's in the rear and I think there is too much sidewall.

Sorry that wasn’t clear, I was flexible in sizes to go up or down 10 mm, but availability wasn’t there

Specifically, the rears. There was only one 295/30R20

Dude... I just called on that one this a.m., to see if they could dig up one more. I was about to put together a six hundred something $ set for the GTS. Damn!

No doubt, when you go through tires like toilet paper, these things are super attractive. Bought a set of Achilles slicks from a forum member for 250 bucks, they are close to timing out at 4.5 years, but I will use them up within 30 days

Who did you go through? Looking for the 295/30R20's as well! My local shop has the 285/35R20's and they are working on price matching tirerack. The set I have now has 3 track days on it. I think this will last another 2 days. Any work on the RE71RS coming over?

I only called Tire Rack per fanatic1's tip above. They had just the one left in all inventory.

I have two 295/30-20 RE71 in pretty good condition, happy to ship them to y'all.

I still can't believe the RE71, my favorite street and track tire, is no more

So are we going to get the Bridgestone RE71RS?

https://practicalmotoring.com.au/car...-street-legal/

I have a new square set of 275/35/18 RE71’s on a set of 513m rears. I’ve been waiting on a wet track day to use them. It may be time.

Yeah I'm asking ya! It's supposed to be a little better under power and they run a little wider than the Bridgestone in similar sizes. I'm planning on running them this season starting out with the 275/35/19 and then going to try to fit the 305/30/19 haha.

Bridgestone resource says the RE71RS is junk and will not be coming to the US but they have something better in the pipeline for 2022.

A052 is a good alternative, although that is more of a race oriented tire than short time attacks.

Sorry, I wasn't sure

I can't see myself ever running a Falken tire, or LingLong or whoever makes the AR-1. I have enough issues with 'premium' tires at the track to try a cheaper alternative.

Also, I'm not really running street tires at the track, having migrated to the BFG R1/S. Now the set I use to get to the track is RE71 but the track set in the rear seats is R1. The RE71s serve as backup/rain tires
Once the RE71s wear I'm not sure what I'll get. Hopefully the next version will be out by then.

Ran back to back sessions today and ran into a new issue - slow DCT up shifts from 3 to 4. Engine oil temp was normal for pushing the car, don’t have DCT temp gauge obviously, but wondering if there’s a correlation there with temp or fluid level? Ambient was around 70° F.

Anyone run into this?
