This at least is a positive affect where it gives you some time. But I still have a hard time understanding why car people live in that state.
Perfect weather with 4 different terrains available within 1-2 hr drive of each other: beaches, deserts, mountains, forests, and city life. I've gone snowboarding at Big Bear one day and hit Newport Beach for bodyboarding the next. Not to mention the diverse population and cultures and food that come with them. It's not all perfect, but the good makes up for the bad if you have the means to live here.
Inland empire huh? How bad are the cops down there?

Don’t be obtuse. You know why people want to live here and no one is moving out of state because of a silly exhaust law.
Obtuse...lol.

On the verge of:
Bankruptcy yearly
Falling in the Pacific (may not happen this month)

Places like Murder Mountain

Hates cars
Hates real gas

Clearly California does have some nice locations. No doubt

I'm saying some of this in jest even though it's all true.

Sucks down all the other 49 states because of the stupid "50 State Legal" bullshit because of California by itself.

So... not so obtuse after all.

I honestly think that motorcycles generate much louder and more annoying exhaust noise than cars

i know this is off topic but why is exhaust noise such an issue and not every lifted truck with illegal lighting modifications that burn my eyeballs out. not saying either or is right.

a new thing ive learned it people find it acceptable to drive with their high beams on. such a victim complex..."but I couldn't see!!!!"

Where do you get your information? A Trump rally? A Russian troll farm?

The most recent California budget surplus is almost $20 billion. By the end of the current fiscal year, reserves will exceed $30 billion. When Jerry Brown took office in 2011, he inherited a $27 billion deficit from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

California accounts for 15% of the USA's economy. Standing alone, it's the fifth biggest economy in the world.

Falling into the Pacific? Maybe not this millennium. When it does, it's going to take everything west of the Continental Divide with it. Meanwhile, the Gulf states are facing historic floods and storms. If San Francisco winds up under water, it's more likely to be from rising sea levels than an earthquake, and Miami, New York, Houston and many other cities will be in the same situation.

We cite those trucks all of the time for illegal lights.

It's in comfort by default, so there would be no reason to test it in Sport Plus.
If the testing procedure involves revving past 4K then it will have to be unplugged to confirm it's fixed
Maybe go back and reread what I posted.

RPM's have nothing to do what I posted.
Revving past 4K in comfort mode will cause the valve to open so it will be louder. They may want to test the exhaust in sport mode also to see if it complies.
May is a word used in law that means about nothing until there is reason otherwise.

They don't do this in inspection of exhaust. Nothing is more strict then California CARB testing.

A long time ago when I lived in the people's republic of California I got a fix it ticket. It's totally the officers discretion. They don't carry around decibelometers. I had to buy one take it down to the police dept and get the officer to come outside and show him the reading. It took a while but he finally signed off on it. There are stipulations and I want to say you're supposed to take the reading at like 3000 rpm, but I can't remember.
