Anyone know if the MF drops with MSD and if so what the MSD becomes for march? Also, with ED what can I anticipate to save vs buying it at the dealer?
Heres the deal I'm looking at, 16 M3 black sapphire/black leather, 6spd, 19 inch wheels for buying at the dealer. MSRP $67,200.00 Negotiated Price $65,050.00 Lease Incentive $1,500.00 Sales Tax Rate 9.00% - CA San Francisco :-( Money Factor 0.001350 Residual 61% @ 10k @ 36mo MSD $0 Drive-off $1,445.84 Total Monthly Payment $836.84 |

Anyone used corporate/employer discounts on top of the negotiated price? Ours doesn't tell me what that discount is other than the dealer will determine what value that might be.

So a dealership is telling me that they have a May allocation. Can dealerships get them 2 months in advance?
Also since I wouldn't be able to lock in March numbers for a May allocation/build, I'd have to roll the dice that the rates won't be worse or at least much worse than March. I can lock back in in May and still have June and probably July to get a good rate. Doesn't seem risky as long as I get them to agree on a $ above invoice. Do you think that's pretty low risk or would you wait? |

I even questioned him based on what I read here. I'll keep him on the hook as a backup for poor, unsportsmanlike behavior. Also, I assume you can't lock in rates until you have an actual production number? |

It's correct. Allocations come out the first week of each month, with build dates during the following month. Pretty sure rates can be locked whenever, it just takes a credit app. But with a May build there is a really low chance of you getting to use March rates, the car would need to be at the dealer before May 31. so taking a hard credit pull may not be worth it.

That makes sense as I can see him rolling the dice with a couple of weeks to go. Thanks again. |

Either way, as previously stated, you wont have your car by end of May. Rates can be locked 60 days if you are on east coast and 90 if on west coast. Only possble way of using March rates is if you order a car with an open allocation and build week in April and that would need to be an early april build to have the car in time. Or find a dealer on the west coast to get 90 days. You would need to factor shipping into your deal. If I were you, I would roll the dice on rates improving as they try to close out MY 2016.

I understand the 60 day lock so regardless I have to wait until I have an actual allocation or should I say REAL allocation to lock in the rate. My guess is he will string me along telling me he is "getting a production number" until April and hope he gets an allocation. |
