you're better off getting the lease cash up front... forget the residual. if the car is worth more at the time of sale than residual, buy it, or turn it into an independent dealer for 4,000 more or so.

That makes sense as I can see him rolling the dice with a couple of weeks to go.

Thanks again.
Correct. They have no allocations right now and the next chance they'll get any is the first week of April. And those will all carry build dates in May, not April.

Based on everyone's experience or "historical data" I guess you could say, what are the chances the $1,500 lease credit will remain for April?

Speculatuon is that March programs will carry into April to move inventory on the lots. It may even improve, but I think everyone was suprised that March was not significantly better than Jan-Feb so you never know. I took delivery in Feb and used Dec rates and incentives because it gave me the best deal.

So I still have 2 dealerships telling me they have May builds now but based on the above those wouldn't be available until April. Is there a way to get them to show me they are real or is it not worth the effort since it's just not possible to have a May build this early.

Allocations for May builds will not be assigned until after April 1st. They are guessing and may even give you a "production number" which will be nothing but an order number from the order back. If you want, ask them for the build sheet and I am willing to bet it at status 47. This would mean order received by BMW NA but no allocation assigned by BMW AG.

Wow. If your numbers are right that is phenomenal.

You better get a breakdown though because even at only 10k miles per year (highest residual), you would be getting about $12k off which I find hard to believe.

I didn't include the lease cash available right now, so that would change the numbers a little but still sounds too good.

Exactly I don't believe it...unless the dealer is use to selling at a loss.

Agree with you. I'm gonna go out on a limb and call it a troll post, unless it was a demo car, person works at dealer whatever. I think most members here know what a good deal is. There is no need to ask an obvious question ex i got a ferrari MSRP 280k, leasing for 1k a month, is it a good deal? Either post all the info or don't bother is my attitude.

They may be confused, I have a week 19 production that I received a couple a weeks ago which is first week of May however the actual build should start a week or two before that date. So it is possible to have a production allocation in May before the April allocations.

Verify the # by calling Genius. I had a dealer tell me the same thing back in Nov and gave me a # with a week one build and it was only an order number from the order bank not yet accepted by BMW AG. Remember, it is not real until AG accepts it and assigns it a production slot.

That completely depends on your MSRP and sale price, but anywhere from $50-$65 per month.

Can you use the purchase credit along with a locked .9% from last month if you take delivery in April, or they can't be combined?
