SOS Call system failure

SOS Call system failure amber light appeared on the dash this afternoon, any ideas what has caused this and is there a quick fix or reset?

Thanks

I have been having similar issue every once in awhile. It should go away by itself after few starts assuming there is no real hardware fault there. Or you could just clear the code..

I clear code using my bm3 app. But i think any OBD related app or tool can clear it.

Many thanks, I’ll try that. Any recommendations besides bm3?

I bought my 2017 M4 CPO in Feb. of this year and over the first couple weeks I had the SOS Call System failure come on pretty frequently. Dealership said a lot of cars have this error and to bring it in. First visit they replaced the sos battery and claimed it was fixed, it wasn't.

Several weeks later and a couple dealership visits, it ended up being an $800 telemetry module they replaced. When I get home, I'll grab the PN off the dealer invoice and post it here.

update: PN 84-10-6-836-769 TELEMATICS CONTROL
"Internal Defect within TCB Control Unit w/ Connected battery charger. Found Faults stored for TCB Communication."
