Eventuri Intake and Charge Pipes
Was wondering what charge pipes will be compatible with the Eventuri Intakes? I read that ER is one option. Those BP ones look really sexy as well. I tried searching around and haven't gotten solid answers except for the ER one.
Just seeing what my options are before i pull the trigger! |

Have Eventuri and ER chargepipes. You should be fine. Your turbo spooling gets louder with CP.

Theres enough clearance but you'll have to remove your passenger side eventuri in order to install CP.

The only "compatible" index here would be the cost. Intakes and Charge Pipes are completely independent of each other. The only thing "ER" & "BP" charge pipes have in common with eVenturi Intakes is that they're all, arguably (more so, these charge pipes) overpriced! Any charge pipe that's applicable to the S55 engine will work with any intake that's applicable to the S55 engine. That's a killer paint scheme on that C.F. cover, by the way! Cheers! Hey, Again, any Charge Pipe that's properly designed for the S55 engine will fit (some better than others, obviously) regardless of whichever corresponding Intake you choose to install. Now, if the "ER" Charge pipes have a design exception specifically for the "AWE" Intake, that, for me, would be a red flag, that one or the other was not properly designed for my F8x. You have to realize that our engine bays weren't haphazardly designed by monkeys. I'm sure BMW's engineers put a lot of thought into every little detail, as to the where and the why of that space. Take note, most every aftermarket Mod. manufacturer specifically try to emulate and highlight, as a selling point - OE fitment and design! Just my last $0.02 on the matter. Cheers! P.S.: + Your query in your OP is in reference to an "eVenturi" intake, correct?!? Last edited by Dr._Who; 02-04-2019 at 11:20 PM.. |

ER seems to be a more established and preferred brand for CPs (though Im sure SSR is fine too). I looked into SSR before I went with ER. SSR should fit with Eventuri no problem according to SSR. I ended up with ER only because I found a used one for way less than brand new SSR. ER uses stock OEM bolt... while SSR replaces bolt. I installed it myself. Its a PIA if you don't have the right tools. Make sure you test for leaks. That said... Pretty happy with my ER CPs.
