Initially it’s a stock comp package exhaust with just the resonator mod. I just had MPE tips on. I actually hate how the MPE exhaust sounds. Personal preference.

That sounds really nice. Lots of tone coming out. Without being aggressive.

Hello Guys...

I see you installed the 4” version of the Magnaflows... could the 6” version fit?

Yes!

I did, initially.

Those secondary cat's. must have been doing something otherwise they wouldn't have been there in the first place!

Cheers!

You might run into issues because the pipes angles upwards slightly that is hard to see in pics. I mean a good exhaust fabricator can do anything but it wouldn't just be a cut/swap like it was for me.

I didn't notice any additional smell after doing this on my car.

going to be doing a secondary cat delete soon and can't find any clips of just straight pipes instead of the added resonator- but the general consensus i see here is that the Magnaflow resonators deepen the tone without acting as a "muffler," while straightpipes may be slightly louder but much raspier. is this the correct assumption?

In my opinion, the resonators just round out and take a bit off the edge of the raspy tone under boost. It is louder than stock with 2nd cats removed when flooring it, but drones less than stock when cruising if valves are left open. Hard to explain. But I noticed my manual shifter rattles were gone with valves open after the resonator install. Cold start with valves open is ridiculous though.

If you like the stock sound as-is, then just delete the 2nd cats to get more of it. But I was sick of the buzzing sounds when on boost, so this is a really affordable way to get rid that.

The Magnaflow 14156 is now $127 on amazon and $150 each on other sites- ouch! Any luck with any other 2.5" straight through mufflers? If i can find ones that are around ~$90 each i will get them, otherwise i think i will just have my shop fab up straight pipes for the cat delete

I have two of the magnaflow 14156's in my garage, never installed, if anyone wants to buy them. Shipping will be a little pricy since it'll be a heavy package but still cheaper than buying them off amazon now it seems.

Vibrant 1792. Check on amazon. Great quality that will accomplish the same thing and fit really well.

Hey,

Sounds Great!

For the life of me, I can't get how to upload video files??

Your best bet would be "Racecraft" in Australia!

Cheers!

What I'm also curious on... is you are removing the stock resonator, only to add back two resonators.
What's the different in stock resonator vs having the two Vibrant resonators? Is one way deeper/louder?

I'm just wondering how different this will sound compared to just deleting the secondary cats and leaving the stock resonator as-is.

Good question!

The two added back on were to replace the secondary cat's. which are restrictive in a twofold way.

Remember these are not only restrictive due to the Catalytic Convertor function but, they also do
perform a "resonator" function as well.

The positioning may also play a part.

Cheers!

This is exactly what I am looking to do. I wish we had a sound clip.

How does it sound compared to stock? I'm just looking for a cleaner louder sound. Hopefully this achieves it.
