I regretted going with springs only first to lower the car and I went with the coilovers second. I should have gone straight to the coilovers first!! This time around though, I am staying stock until after the 1200 miles so I can enjoy the stock suspension for a while.

Agree 110%. The change from springs to coilovers was money well spent.

I've been really happy with Swift springs - ride on the ZCP has been lovely.

My only regret was not going with OEM or RKP carbon fiber stuff out of the gate. The fitment is excellent; everything else I've tried has been a struggle or a no-go even with high dollar shit.

Going catless with AA midpipe and remus exhuast is messing up the paint on my rear bumper.

Kind of regret spacers. Rock chips galore now on the car.

After reading this thread, now I'm debating whether my OEM CF CS front lip was a smart purchasing decision... I don't intend on lowering the car but I know it will still make me stress once it's installed...

Yeah, what you got exactly ? I'm looking into spacers as my first mod and concerned.

Coming from modded F80 comp, (exhaust, spacers, springs, CS lip, carbon etc) to factory M4CS, is a breath of fresh air, as much as I’d love to lower it a touch, I’m going to try and resist, and enjoy the car as intended.

Mods are fine, but usually they put aesthetics over actually enjoying the drive.. we all love a lowered stance, but aiming for that extra brake pedal on the floor mat when you aporcoach a sudden dip while gritting your teeth waiting on the “sceercch” is neither fast, or fun.

Agreed, I thought about doing MP HAS on my CP, but I'm not going to because of this. My GT350 was lowered and your description is 100% accurate.

Had my 1M lowered among other mods and yes it looked great but if the roads are anything but perfect you will scrape.

Collected my brothers F430 with novitec springs (seriously low) and lip. By the time I got it to his house the lip was in 1/2. It was a great conversation..

I didn't drive like an ass either. Roads here are just crap.

I absolutely love the look of a lowered M4 + a front lip but I will never put myself through that again.

Don't regret any of my performance mods though. Especially Akra!

One regret was purchasing my AA Signature Exhaust. I loved it, but unfortunately the wife did not, and there are better hills to die on.

While I got back almost what I paid, the install cost on/off was flushed.

15mm front and 12mm back on 513m. The stance is great; the chips, not so much. I am considering the flaps by Tommy but he hasn't completed the rears yet.

idk how everyone here has such big scraping problems. My car is lowered, on springs nonetheless and I live in NY where a "good" road resembles driving offroad while the bad roads are similar to driving on the moon and my bumper has never actually made contact with the ground.

Why are you concerned with rear flaps? As I understand rear tires throw rocks into the car behind you....

I think many people go too far. Personally I don’t like the look of slammed cars, and the constant scraping and paranoia would drive me nuts. I have a sport drop with the MS Comp. The stance is perfect and no scraping ever so far.

My problem out here isn't so much the roads as it is the entrance to my driveway. Even at stock I have to take it at an angle going in/out or I'll scrape the shit out of the bottom of my car. If I were lowered I would need to install a Bridjit. There are also dips in the roads at intersections that you can easily bottom out on if you're not careful.

I'm on h&r sports which are pretty low and honestly I drive around all these canyon like craters no matter what car I'm in so it makes no difference to me doing it in my car.
