F80 replacement street pads

Ok I know I’m opening up a can of worms here but I’ll try to be specific enough to avoid any dramas

What I don’t like about the OEM pads (mine are standard m3, not carbon)

- waaaay to much brake dust
- I don’t reckon they bite that well

What I want from new pads

- Street requirement only
- quiet for the Mrs
- less Brake dust
- slightly improved braking over OEM would be nice.

Recommendations?

Worst case I’ll replace with OEM does anyone know what they use? Don’t want to pay crazy BMW pad prices if I can avoid.

I bought ferodo ds2500 for a track day, they aren't expensive, handled the track ok, long way off being true track pad, I had intentions of swapping them out after track day, but they are quiet and work well on the street, I still have them in, done about 5000 k's with them. Wife does shopping and school drop off with it, no problems from her. probably just buy another set when they are worn . Recommend you look into these.
I have black rims but I think they still make lots of dust

Ah. I’m after a street pad with less dust. How did they compare to the OEM?

Better bite and feel, Great street compound which it is designed for, only let down is dust. Can handle getting hot without any trouble or hurting disk.
they are great price

Key requirement is less dust than OEM, otherwise I have no complaints about OEM

If you buy a pad with less dust you'll either have:

1. ceramic pads have worse pedal feel
2. harder pads therefore they're harder on your rotors and kill your rotors

I know its annoying that they dust so god damn much but really they've formulated the best pad to cover daily driving and some spirited street drivign with the OEM pad.

With intricate wheel designs such as the 666M's yeah I agree they're a PITA to clean, get the rims ceramic coated and use say carpro iron x P&S wheel dust buster to help clean them periodically?

Can't have both. Dust with performance, or no dust with a dry cleaning bill. Or $20k for ccb.
