Drift Hospitalizer?

In a few year's time, I'm beginning to think that 'drift analyzer' will have taken on the same connotations as 'jumping the shark' in auto-enthusiast parlance.

As in:
"Manufacturer Blah used to make really great cars, but with this year's model they have finally 'added the drift analyzer'".

Did anyone notice the sticker on the Veloster? "Hyundai Driving Academy"?

I did a quick check and it looks like the beginnings of a performance driving experience alal M Division's similar programs. They have greater aspirations and the other brands better be aware and that N is after M thing isn't really a joke it looks like.

Check the pricing out: What a deal! 99 Euros for 1 day? 200 for 2.5 days?

Future for Hyundai/Kia/Genesis just keeps looking brighter and brighter.
What's even more interesting for me is the new Ioniq 5.

I recently drove one in Seoul. It's incredible and certainly Hyundai's future — our inevitable e-car transition — looks bright.

Would be a great stablemate to a less practical and gas hungry M car.

I love the look of the Ioniq5, very retro modern, futuristic but not overly shouty or ugly like many other EV's. Also been seeing a lot of positive press on the vehicle.

Hopefully their Ioniq6/Prophecy concept looks good in production form, that's another car of there's I've been waiting for.

I’m guessing you haven’t driven many 911s.

As a 911 owner - i will say, it is extremely important how you choose to option these cars. Each model will drive different as well. You can option them for more sport/engagement or for more GT. Either way, even a base 911 is amazing to drive and will be more than enough sports car for most ppl.

I've driven a few.

The 911s with sport chrono and pasm is 130k.

Is it good? Hell yes! Is it twice as good as an M4? Or more accurately, twice as good as the M2CS? Nope.

^This and BMW has nothing even close to it unfortunately. At least MB tried with the AMG GT.

I used to say this to. Twice is good, probably not. Worth the money and noticeably better in nearly every way, hell yes.

No offense man but why are you in this thread? Don't you have your own thread in the G8x forum to bitch about this thread in?

Strange, it does appear to have vanished from the forums, somewhat ironic.

That's exactly what they did with the M2cs

I saw a 4 series probably a 430 or 440i or something today. Yes the grill is hideous.

But even worse than that, the car is massive, looked like Bentley size

M2CS is great, shame they seem to be planning to do away with DCT with next gen M2 as well. No AWD excuses this time, pure cost cutting.

It is huge, 2-inches shy of an E-Class Coupe, not much shorter than an 8er even :

I really hate how each generation of car for some reason has to get bigger (regardless of brand). Why? The roads certainly aren't getting bigger, at this point we'll need a 0.5 Series and lowercase a-Class just to get normal sized cars.

Every review I've read on the 992 so far states that they made it more engaging to drive than the 991...

Difference of opinion there I guess. "You have everything you need" is a personal statement. My 70 year old parents have a different standard of "enough" than I do and my grandparents born in the 1920s would have another perspective yet again.

I went from an E70 X5 to G05 X5 last year primarily for the upgraded interior and cutting-edge capabilities like adaptive cruise control with lane-centering steering. It felt like I went from "analog" to "digital" and I loved that. Now I'm thinking about spending $60K on a M2C and it's hard to get comfortable with going back to "analog," especially when for $70K I could have a car that's regarded as delivering all the performance of the M2C with the modern accoutrements of the G-series interior.
Why do you care about digital analogue or whatever other tidbits?

Not being a dick, just genuinely curious, i am young but i can't see myself caring a rats ass about wether something having adaptive cruise control, lane centre assist, blind spot detection, 360 cameras, etc.

Is there a joy one gets out of those things? I don't know maybe i am just too young i just feel i would be ripping my hair our if i had to shell 60k for a car plus about 10k in "techy" add-ons.

For me a car is a car hence why i am on this forum, i would personally pay 120k for a stripped out modern E46 M3 and by modern i mean DCT, powerful engine, extremely lightweight, amazing aero, grippy tires, etc. Than pay 60k for a G8X or any equivalent car with all the tech, bells, whistles, comfort, etc.

I may be a one off here and i may not completely understand the BMW brand but i just honestly genuinely do not care for comfortable seats, nice leather, cool buttons, assist systems, blind spot stuff, cameras and sensors and all that.

Sometimes i wonder if i am in the right car as i see everyone here stressing the important of dual duty, the luxury aspect, etc.

Because driving is a holistic experience, especially if it's your daily (which is what an M car is meant to be).
