Yes the early EU6 13537645956 injectors had the same failures as the EU5 13647599876. Using the earlier EU6 would be prone to same failure. The EU6 was redesigned with the 13538627842 but supposedly cannot be used in an EU5.

https://f10.m5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1462695
So if someone now bought the EU5 13647599876 injectors, would they still be prone to failure as the early ones?

What turbos are you running?
Currently stock, pushed above 25PSI. Ceramic coated GCs are paid for, and I'd like to see 35PSI out of them.

As long as Paul can do the big injector tune I'm sticking with him.

How did you reach them? HCP website?
Yep! I contacted:
Sales@HC-Performance.com
and Hilsen got back to me in 1.5 hours. Real nice guys there at HCP.

I installed the injectors in the morning, calibrated in ISTA and had the base map with perfect idle before lunch time. Car was ripping by end of the day like I was still on factory injectors.

https://abperformance.ge/ is who tuned my car. Another great option outside of F80paul and HCP.
Those are the tuners out of Georgia (south of Russia)?

How many revisions did they do in total?

Correct on location.

My setup was a little different since I have the SPOOL HFPF. We worked through some issues with BM3's drop downs causing some issues on the initial files. Took 5 revisions to get the 'good' base file. These 5 though were all back to back while talking with the tuner directly. New map every 5-10 minutes.

Sequence has been basefile (Stock boost, make sure everything looks OK), semi aggressive w/ lower timing, and a few more revisions with max effort.

I'm assuming the tuner was a little more cautious on the SPOOL pumps as you normally need alot more PSI for higher E content w/ stock HFPF, even with M5 injectors. Right now I'm running E65 (what comes out at my local pump) at 28psi, 16deg timing, 13.5 APR at only 2800psi request (2600psi actual). Clean clean reliable logs. Lots of margin, not going to blow up the GC's and drives like stock. I'm at 3500-6000 DA on the regular which he kept in mind.

That's great feedback there. Thanks!!!

So what's the consensus on EU5? So as long as you get the revised ones good to go and better and less stress than on stock EU6 injectors that are pumping high pressures on E85?

It looks like the consensus is in the Spool HPFP thread where Kratos let the cat out of the bag about expected HP on EU5 and pumps:
https://www.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=27139866

It looks like ///MJunkie has Scenario 2 with the aftermarket HPFSs. If he didn't do aftermarket HPFPs he'd be maxing out the OEMs and we'd eventually hear of "sticking" (broken) EU5s.

Best 60-130 is a ~6.9sec. With my shitty launching/driving, I did a 11.7 @ 132mph. Removed the clutch delay valve last weekend but haven't had a chance to retest. Unlike the DCT, the manual isn't as easy to get down the 1/4 mile! This run wasn't at the track either.

Dyno I'll get working on sometime in May hopefully. The new customROM has (RAM) channels in the datalog. It's calculating around 720hp based on the torque values. Puts me at around 650whp, or 720whp at sea level. Seem about right for none extreme pushing of the GC turbos.

The last revision included antilag and also a modification for my shift bog I see with being a manual and rev match off (can't stand it). I'd say a 6.5 or lower easy once I get time to update it and drive the car. 4k DA normally on my test logs.

I’d love to see a log of the shift bog fix in action. Fellow 6 speed owner here who hates the bog. I’d rather the throttle actual do what my foot tells the accelerator rather than the slow ramp on shift.

If you want a more local tuner that has done quite a few S63 EU5 on N55/S55 hit up Bendcalibration.

They now do custom tuning on BM3 now!

I looked up on you tube how to code injectors for a N55 and the selections were there in ISTA to program each individual injector for my M4.

Believe this is the video I used, wasn't 100% the same selections in ISTA but I stumbled through it pretty quickly and found what I needed:

About to jump down this rabbit hole, just to be certain, the correct updated part # is EU5 13647599876?

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-bosch-pa...647599876~bos/

Had a stock injector go out on me on Sunday, so might as well try these instead of the stock ones.

These are the ones I ordered, they match your link:

Looks like the S55 guys have cleaned out all the major suppliers of injectors

I would be patient - the lifetime return policy is worth it in the case that your injectors fail for whatever reason.

It took them 2-3 weeks to restock last time they were out.

Anyone on the fence, see the log I took yesterday. My buddy was along for the ride, his words were 'violent'.

31psi @7k, E65 Fuel, was at least 90F outside (118 IAT), 5.8K DA, rock solid actual HPFP rail pressure.
