Black was the most labor intensive to keep looking nice. Silverstone and white have been rather easy.

I too have white, the upkeep is not bad as black, black can show spot and swirls easily. White just look dirty too quick

Because I'm a glutton for punishment, got my wife's X5 in BSM as well. Yeah, those are fun days in the wash buckets.

Black is horrid, never again. If you're like me and everything needs to be clean at all times, the color will crush you. I made the mistake once, if it's the last color car on earth I'll walk.

White is fine, silver is better.

Yas Marina never gets dirty.

I'm not sure of the exact one used at the time of paint correction and coating as I didn't do it myself. But this is the product I was told should be used every couple months or so as a top coat:

GTECHNIQ - C2 Liquid Crystal - C2v3

Likely the initial coating was done with one of their products.

Like mirrored silk. LOL.

My CTS-V was black but the upkeep was just too much for me and my OCD. Changed to mineral gray for my F80. With the ceramic coating, it looks clean even when dirty and I like the way the gray and black contrast.

Lol. "Living" with black. Sure, if you're a masochist.

Maybe as a weekend/dry weather car. But as a DD, no way.

I must be in the minority with having a BSM F80 and not having an issue with it. I don't find it any harder to keep clean than any other car I've owned in recent memory. Mine sits outside 24/7 but is under a carport at least. Sure it gets dusty but what car doesn't.

This is encouraging given that I have a BSM on order!

Previously owned a white 340i and currently have a Mineral Grey F80, both very easy to maintain. I like the look of BSM so I figured I'd give it a try.

I owned a black car once and never again... If you like cleaning it and doing that all the time then go for it, otherwise do not get black.

I happened to get a great deal on white so thats what I have and its not bad to clean (although the CF roof is always dirty so it needs a wipe all the time)

I would have loved a red or blue but they just aren't available ever or much higher priced

I have BSM. Its ceramic coated and low maintenance for me.

Maybe Im in the minority but my car stays in the garage and I get to choose when I drive it. Its always clean and I just do quick washes sometimes just because I have time.

I find it suits the character of the M3 very well.

With a deionized water system, you can pressure wash your car and leave it to air dry without getting water spots. This is what I do for light coatings of dust/dirt on my BSM car. My car is ceramic coated as well.

This is my first black car and I initially thought I wouldn't like black either, but when it's clean it's so satisfying seeing how deep the color is.

Nope, I literally just rinse off the car and leave it. It's pretty great.

My best friend and I got M4’s for our 40th. He got BSM, I got AW. I love mine, until I see his and vice versa.

I think objectively, the black is superior. Keep your foam/waterless wash and a six pack of microfiber cloths in ur trunk and be ‘that guy’ randomly wiping ur car down in the parking lot. Totally worth it.

This is just after a wash..I cry about it every time.

Original 2015 BSM owner and do not have an issue with the color however it is garaged and driven when the mood strikes. It’s a beautiful color and no regrets. The wheels look dirty before the paint does.

Those of you with ceramic coating: do you have the professional stuff? I have never had ceramic professionally done on my cars but have applied myself on a couple of cars. I wonder how much of a difference the professional stuff makes, especially as it relates to longevity.

And yes, deionized water is the best investment ever!

Lower your car and get tints, it would make your car a lil more badass. The black looks menacing because you can't tell if its lowered or not through the pictures and it looks like a tiger ready to kill you (LOL).

I always think black looks like the best color clean and the worst dirty so it will depend on how much time you spend cleaning.
