This is also useful and not completely out of date:
http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...-8-6-09-a.html More important to know what custom sweeps you can come up with to filter out falsies while maximizing sensitivity. There are only like 5-6 states that still use X-band (NJ and OH are ones I tend to visit) so I have custom programs I use in my V1 if my travels take me to those states. Otherwise Laser always on, Ka on for 34.7 and 35.5, K on all the time with all nannies on to quiet it down, X off. If heading through NJ then I have a program that does the above in addition to adding X band. My "NJ and DE" program also adds an extra sweep of 33.8 on Ka as NJ and DE use 33.8 a lot. The V1 connect app is pretty cool because can save a lot of different programs (or profiles) and reprograms the unit typically within 5 seconds. Handy for the 1-2 times a year we head that way. Otherwise my program above covers all northeast and midatlantic states. Last edited by Mr. Hankey; 02-23-2015 at 11:48 AM.. |
