iPhone 7/iOS 10 Bluetooth audio issues - anyone else?

Has anyone tried the public betas? Updating to 10.1 beta 2 fixed some other BT issues for me. Unfortunately I don't have a car to test with yet and I'm hoping these issues are resolved by the time it gets here.

I just installed 10.1 beta 3, I'll test it on my drive to work and see how it goes!

It was only one 15 - 20 minute drive, but everything worked. Album art came up, I was able to switch through songs, etc. I made sure to keep it on the album art/track view the entire time and didn't have any issues. Even got a few notifications that dulled the music and then brought it back to full volume. Hopefully this is a good sign!

Same issue here, iPhone 7+. Hopefully 10.1 will fix it when it comes out.

Also, I can confirm that iOS 10.1 Beta does not fix this.

I tried this:

Quit all apps
Opened only Spotify
Started playing a song in a playlist
locked my phone
switched to bluetooth audio
songs played fine

UNTIL

I touched my phone, as soon as I turned the screen on, everything stoped working.

Same happens to me

I am experiencing the same issue with Bluetooth audio not working with iOS 10 and my iPhone 6+. I've got iDrive 5.0 but seems the issue is apparent with iOS 10.

For those of you that is having issues try resetting "All Setting" on your iPhone. I did that and so far so good! But before you do that be warned that you would lose all saved passwords on everything so be sure to have those before you do the reset.

Never mind! It had failed badly today!

For any of you having problems, do you have CarPlay enabled? I haven't gone to try this yet, but, I originally paired my phone and enabled CarPlay and things seemed fine. However, I am really not a fan of that CarPlay interface (specifically for things like Spotify), and went and disabled CarPlay. Now, I seem to be having these same kind of Bluetooth problems as some others. Drops, doesn't start sometimes, I've even had it play the audio at some faster speed with some pops/crackles. It does not seem to matter if I have it connected via Bluetooth or USB.

iPhone 7+ running 10.1 beta 2.

Just picked up my 2017 M3 Friday night...amazing car

New 10.0.3 software update available. I think it's mainly for Verizon users for reception LTE issues. Keep fingers crossed for Bluetooth fix. Not holding breath though

Yup I updated my iPhone7 to 10.0.3 and still no luck. music played for 5 seconds and froze.

I updated my phone to ios10.1 beta 4 and Bluetooth works perfect now. Once the public release comes out you guys should be good. Unless you want to get the beta version. I have not had any issues with it.

My buddy has a 2016 BMW and he is ALWAYS having trouble with his phone since upgrading to iOS 10. He has an iPhone 6S+, but as soon as iOS 10 was installed it was crap. :-/

Out of curiosity, have anyone of you tried updating your car's firmware to the latest?

I know some dealership won't do it just for this but... worth a shot.

Yes I have...did not fix the problem. On a side note the car firmware now has an extra line. In addition to Media and Phone, it now has "Add-on". I'm not entirely sure what that is.

I'm having major issues.. my car was built june 2014; 2015 model

Worked fine all this time with my ancient 5S

Waiting for the next update; new 10.0.3 doesn't solve the issue.

my buddy told me the beta software will make my phone a brick

Your buddy doesn't know what he is talking about. Apple allows you to voluntarily participate in their beta releases now. So no risk of downloading from shady places or messing up the install
