Rear coilover - Inverted or not?

Hi y'all!

I wanted to check on how most people are installing their rear coilovers (MCS remote in my situation) - I'm currently running them inverted to keep the reservoir hose away from debris and simplify the install for reservoirs... That being said, I'm worried about the shaft being so exposed to road hazards and adjusting rebound is annoying down at the bottom of the hub.

I just installed mine, running them inverted. Is this for your F80 or your E92?

If F80, you’ll need a high clearance sway bar (BW GTMore) and SPL rear end-links (or similar). Additionally there is a taller spring perch that you can use to avoid rubbing on the axle boot with larger springs.

Adjusting rebound isn’t too bad, it’s awkward but doable and doesn’t require jacking up the rear. I do worry a little about exposure to the elements but figured that the entire wheel well gets crap kicked up all over anyway.

Edit: my bad didn’t fully read your post - yah count me as 1 for team inverted.
