Gameplan for M4 Cs:
• Need 22% off MSRP including rebates and discount
• MSRP - $119095 (22% off)
• MSRP before appraisal - $92,895

Appraise car at 20k and we use the value we get there as MSDs.

**Final price - $92,895 - with MSDS of $9000**<-- I am not doing the deal otherwise.

OR use 9k as down and get to the final price of $83,835

Is the above fair to ask them? or am I asking too much? Or do I have room to squeeze more?
The discount all depends on your region. That's why its best to shop around. Get as many quotes as possible. It might be possible in your area to get 22%, it kind depends on the market, their inventory, and their desperation. Note: I do not count rebates as part of the discount. I get a discount quote BEFORE rebates.

Also, I cannot stress enough, DON'T PUT ANYTHING DOWN. You can pay the doc fees and registration and first months if you like, but I would NOT put $9k down.

Another thing to note is that BMW will only do a maximum of 7 MSDs. Take your monthly payment and round up to the nearest $50, then multiply by 7. A $970/mo payment will be $1000 for each MSD or a max of $7k for 7 MSDs.

Each MSD will lower your Money Factor by 0.00005. MSDs [Edit: Money factor not MSDs] can be converted to interest by multiplying by 2400. Thats 0.84% for 7 MSDs.

Assuming this months MF is 0.00145 and you are going zero drive off you would save $1400 by using 7 MSDs. Here is the calculator:

Leasehackr Calculator - M4 CS $128k

Just change the MSDs from 7 to 0 to see your total savings. I use this calculator all the time when I lease it's very helpful.

Don't forget, you can fill in loyalty and factory rebates and post sale rebates like the BMWCCA $500 rebate as well.

https://www.bmwcca.org/vehicle_rebate

If you aren't a member of BMWCCA, it's worth it to join just to get the $500. Use my member number to join: #528522

Good luck, and happy shopping!

agree with jmg .... great advice
but I think you should do some more search and find a cheaper car
I just helped my friend get an M4CS and MSRP was 116 k and that included CCB
in theory you should find a car around 106-110 and save a lot of money on monthly payment
also to get you more excited .. you will get a free day to M school which is worth 1550 dollars but you have to make sure you ask for it after you buy the car as for some odd reason they don't send automatically

also you should ask dealer about the amount of trunk money available because that will help you and help other members , and if they are honest they will tell you
so % discount you ask for depends on trunk money available and price of the car
for example
trunk money is 9 k that is 8.18 % off on a 110 k car and 7% off on a 128 car
so if we say dealer give you 14 % on their part
total discount should be 22.18 % on 110 k car .. 14 + 8.18
and 21 % on 128 k car . 14 +7

Oh wow will definitely do that.

I have 3 deals with me right now at 22-25% off msrp for the m4 CS. One from a dealer 2 hours away. Couple from out of state.

My question is, should I call this sales guy and tell him straight up that I'm expecting 25%off MSRP and we'll finish the deal Saturday? And tell him that if he can't do that then I'm not even going to come in because I don't want to waste their time or mine.

Should I also email this sales guy the 3 other deals I have as reference? Is that ok to do?

What do you guys think?

OR

Should I go in directly on Saturday and negotiate this there?

What's the best approach?

*internet sales manager is my preference. The sales manager seems to push back more when over the phone.

There is quitea few CS's standing at the showrooms here in Sweden too that has been for sale for a long time. price is quite heavily reduced but they just don't seem to be that popular. The Comp packs hold their value good though.

You should aim for at least 25% in overall discounts before signing anything.

For reference mines technically $695 pretaxed (3yrs/30k) on a $105745 msrp with 5 MSDs. I say technically because the dealer rolled in the 1st month payment trying to do a marketing gig...but officially its $714 pretaxed...

The reality is that these will sit for over 250 days beforw anyone takes the bait. There is BMW trunk money on these things (or should be).

I'm sure they didn't just hike it up. Take a look at the window sticker or go on the website to see if its posted and you'll see all the options and how it adds up to the MSRP. They have no reason to just raise it since if they do you'll know immediately upon going in to the dealership.

I'm going in tomorrow guys . Wish me luck! Hope I can get that 25% off.

Any pointers in terms of MF and RV?

For a 24 month 10k lease. What numbers should I be at

63% RV
.00128 MF

^ are the above numbera accurate at the moment?

RV is non-negotiable. It's set by BMWNA and it depends on the miles and term you want. I believe that is the correct buy rate MF for October. They can't go lower than the buy rate, but they might raise it, which you want to avoid.

Check this thread to see the residuals, it's updated monthly:

Good luck!

Thanks for all the help man. Happy to say that I went ahead with it.

Although I didn't get as a good a deal that others have gotten.

I drove out with Max MSDs 36 months 10k at 950/month post tax.

BTW how do I post the pics of the car here? I have it on my phone but it won't let me attach it
