ok but how is the vinyl holding up , does it get scratched easily as my installer says that gloss vinyl gets scratched easily. Is your porsche having vinyl top too and how does it hold up? Is washing and waxing over it an issue?

I have only had it a week so there is no long term test here.

The guys at Xpel, not Redline Graphics, said that vinyl is not as durable as Xpel. They also said it is a good idea to put wax on it as it will help it last longer.

I am probably going to have Koshi at Excessive Detailing put Cermanic Pro on the entire car, hoping this will extend the life of the vinyl. Redline Graphic did say that the vinyl will last 3-4 years... It is thinner then Xpel.

For me personally I was not going to have the roof repainted in black... I did not want to mess with the factory paint by painting it black... So vinyl was the only option I knew of.

If your willing to throw away a few hundred bucks then I say go for it. The worst case you have them take it off...

Thanks loving the TTS. I've wrapped it matt black for now to protect the beautiful carrara white underneath its been on a year nearly and i'm missing the white so a new colour scheme is being planned..

i'm still awaiting my comp pack M3 delivery and i'm thinking I will like driving it too much and forget about the Porsche... I know they are completely different beasts and the TTS is such an easy and great daily drive coupled with being one of the best handling and accelerating cars on the planet, but I know I will be jumping in the m3 pretty much every day. i'm curious if you are finding you are using the TTS less and less now you have the M4? do you plan on keeping the TTS as your weekend toy? having you been temped by the new 991.2 TTS.. i'm desperately trying to avoid seeing/driving one...

I like the idea of changing the color of the car with a wrap... Get tired of it and you move on to the next flavor of the month...

When I drove home from the dealer I thought there would be no need to keep the TTS. My wife and car friend were thinking the same...That I would sell the Porsche.

My original plan was to make the M4 the DD and the TTS the weekend car. I love the way my M4 looks inside and out, BMW did a great job with this car...

As you know the TTS has paddles which really does not do a lot for me... But even considering that, I enjoy driving the Porsche more then the Bimmer. And it's not because it's a faster car... I just like the way it drives in comparison to the M4. However, I have less then 300 miles on the Bimmer so they verdict is not out yet...

So to answer your question... I am not selling the Porsche...

Great looking cars. I also have a mineral white M4 and I'm in the process of looking for a shop to do a gloss back vinyl wrap on the roof. The TTS is also nice. I considered buying one. Believe it or not I cross shopped it with the M4. At the end of the day I went with the M4, the family felt more comfortable in that versus the TTS. Regardless, it's a hell of a car.

Thanks mate she's an old roty nearly 11 now called Nula. Soppy as anything and would kiss and slobber strangers rather than growl and warn them away! They deteriorate very quickly once past 10 years in terms of sight and other illnesses she's my 5th Rottweiler now and it's heart breaking when you lose them. They're part of the family.

Cheers I don't think I'll encounter another tts on the road with the same design. As techart which has a similar design isn't too common round here..

M3 is due on the 29th March so really looking forward to that

The little M135 will be traded in for the M3 as my new DD. I will have to make time for the tts as its too good to be locked up in a garage collecting dust!

The Mineral white X5 is a 7 seater and the wife's car and she loves it! Great for carting round all 4 kids!

Good luck with the black vinyl wrap... I am happy with mine... Post some photos when you get the wrap completed...

The TTS is a great car but so is the M4. Yet the M4 is a lot more practical by having useable back seats and plenty of trunk room, especially when the seats are folded down.

Nula, is awesome... I know what you mean that they become a big part of the family... They always give their unconditional love everyday and that is just one reason why I love them.

You might be the only one in the world with that color combo on a TTS... If not then just a small hand full have it...

I am sure you are going to like your M3... And yes make sure you find time to drive your Turbo S as you don't want to miss out on that special driving experience.

My wife loves her X5 as well... She did not get the third row as we do not have kids. But loves her black wood and leather dash combo among other nice upgrades...

How did they wrap the shark fin ( gps antenna) ?? on the roof, did they take it out or wrapped over it? If they took it out then it maybe an issue because of all the electronics involved and I am not comfortable anyone doing that.

They took the antenna off the car. They split the wrap with what appears to be two pieces, one for each side of the antenna, and the seam is on top, on the upper ridge of the shark's fin... If you get up close you can see the seam... But hey, it is a wrap... I was not willing to paint it...
