Stage 1,2,3,4

When it comes to BMWs, what are the mods ?

Stage 1
- No Hardware
- ECU Tune

Stage 2
- Downpipes
- Intakes ( Depends on if they are better than stock )

Stage 3
-

Stage 4
-

Im curious to know what a car with hybrid turbos and everything except a built motor will fall under. I searched online and its listed that turbos come under stage 4 ??

This is just a curious question ( more of a fun fact kinda thing ) so if anyone can explain it let me know.
