I wish I had taken more pictures of my first Mcar, but it would be years before digital cameras were widely available. I am talking the era of negatives and a run to your local hour photo which was revolutionary at the time ! My E30 M3 was so easy to work on, even with the few tools I had at the time. There were other Ms during these past 30 plus years, but your first and current Ms are the ones that had previous and current impact on our lives.

I have a longer history of BMWs going back to my first car, an E21 320i I got used in 1994, but only got my first M car 5 years ago!

First was my F80 Civic - loved the grippy carbonstructure interior and optioned, MPE.
Current is my F80 M3 CS - going from the civic to the top end trim was a nice upgrade.
Next, if everything goes according to plan, is my incoming G82 M4 Comp. (it's ugly, I know)

It would have been a E36 but Detroit car insurance premiums were hideously expensive! 04 E46 6speed CPO ….. LOVED IT! Now in a 17 F82 after a short stint in a E90 Comp.

Own both but I shamelessly claim the M5 even though it is the wife's car. I must say I do enjoy my family car
