Low mile 2019 M4CS Prices

I'm thinking about taking my 2019 M4CS to Car Max and selling it about 6 months before the lease ends. Any idea if premiums are being paid for low mileage 2019 CS models? Buyout is $70k right now. Think I could break even or make a buck?

Oh.

Well if you like the G82 that much I don't see any reason not to sell. But I'm curious… what don't you like about the CS such that you're considering the change? By all accounts the CS is an amazing car, and the icing on top is it looks incredible.

At a minimum, why not wait for the G82CS?

I really like the CS, in fact it's the best M I've ever owned. I am just ready for a change and the new technology + the carbon racing seats. Figured if I could easily get sell it w/o losing any money and possibly making a few bucks I might as well.

Most M4CS I've see are going for around 72-80k. I'm thinking of selling mines for a M8, but on the fence.

How can you block a lease buy out? There's nothing in the contract that says otherwise as far as I can tell.

So I can’t speak for Bmw but I tried to sell my cousins Nissan Pathfinder last week, and Nissan blocked third party buyouts as well. They weren’t getting any cars back from lease returns to sell as cpo cars and they lost a lot of money on disposition fees due at end of lease. Carmax and Kelly blue book have more bmws for sale than Bmw themself lol

Its BMW's car still since its a lease, they can do whatever they'd like. Many companies are doing it as the used market is tight right now. It ensures BMW gets the car back instead of someone else at lease turn-in.

I sold my '18 M3 CS with 20k miles about 3 months ago to a specialty used car dealer. Sold it for $68k and made some money on it as the lease had about 6 months left to go.

I tried getting quotes from Carmax, Vroom, Carvana, etc... they all offered in the $60-$63k range.

well i guess if you're leasing technically BMW still owns the car... you are just renting it from them. If you void the contract they can take the car back or make you pay it off.

you could always just buy the car out yourself and sell 3rd party.

Did the specialty dealership end up selling the car at a profit?

Yea, I believe so. They had it priced at $76k and said they were a "no haggle" store. I thought it was a fair price.
