Can confirm this works!! THANK YOU! My V1 was giving Laser alarms every 2-3 seconds...put two pieces of electrical tape in the exact spot you did and the false alarms are gone!

Having this issue with the V1 in my g20. Weird because as I drive during the day everything seems to be calm but last night and when I was installing the laser would go off constantly. No sensor near the idrive so that can't be the issue maybe I'll just turn off laser on the V1

Or switch to a uniden R7, won't laser false. Not sure it will pick up laser from the popo either though...I eventually moved my V1 mounting point from around the center of the car to the left side of the windshield near the a-pillar and falsies went away. I'd go nuts looking at 2 pieces of electric tape on the iDrive screen.

FYI - Valentine 1 Gen 2 - still false alerts to the iDrive screen (was hoping their new laser filtering algorithm would stop the falses to touchscreens)...so just sucked it up and put the electric tape on the screen like above and falses stop - can now mount one near the pillar.

R7 is fantastic but for me V1 is better since I'm running JBV1 for road trips...the JBV1 app is AMAZING (runs on an android), miss it with the R7 that is wonderful but can be quite chatty at times.
