I dropped off my car in Munich (ED) on July 14th. I kept running my VIN on the WW site yesterday and today and nothing. I called Genius just now and they said it was on a Vessel due to arrive in NY on August 7th.

WW has two vessels due to arrive in NY around that time. One on the 6th and one on the 8th of August, so I cannot tell which one I'm on. Hopefully WW will recognize my VIN soon.

Genius or dealer can't tell you name of ship?

I dropped mine off in Paris on July 15th. I was just told it would arrive August 8th. I also forgot to ask the name of the vessel. I assume it must also be the Morning Christina, I just checked it on marinetraffic.com and it's showing it's destination as Halifax Canada... It must continue on to the USA?

Yes. Leaves Halifax on 8/9 and arrives in NYC on 8/11. There is a thread on the Morning Christina.

Guys,

Can anyone help me find the schedule for the vessel GENIUS HIGHWAY?
https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels...MMSI-311000102

I see here that it will be arriving in Halifax, but I am curious when it will get to San Francisco port. I tried all of the links on the first page but had no luck finding the future schedule.

Thanks in advance.

MY2019 M4 convertible tracking for California delivery

Here is my experience so far with the West Coast delivery. As of today, still waiting for order update on bmwusa.com. Last status was at port. Dealer rep said no info on ship yet.

History:
Sept 15. Ordered M4 Conv. Competition w/6 manual from local Northern CA dealer, put a $1000 deposit down and received allocation for week 41, in October. Status shows Order Received.

Sept. 27 - Status change to Schedule for production
Oct. 7 - Ready for transport
Oct. 8 - Awaiting carrier assigment
Oct. 9 - At the port

Today bmwusa.com showing At the port. Next available ship to port Hueneme departs Bremhaven on Oct 18. I hope it makes that ship as I don't think it made it on the Oct 11th ship to port Hueneme. Seem there is only 1 ship to the West Coast per week.

Useful info to share! My car's been sitting at "Quality Check" since last Friday. I assumed that work stops over the weekend. If it moves through quickly in the next couple of days I was wondering if it would make it out on time, but it's looking like a no if it follows your timeline. Next week it is!.

Hey evkl,

I think your car will be at the port by end of this week but will probably missed the 10/18 ship to the Western US.

Here is the schedule. I simply went to the W&W and search for schedule ships from Bremerhaven to Port Hueneme.

https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?min...ScheduleRWD%2F

Good luck and I will continue to updates until delivery.

update 10/18/18

Quick Recap of the status for M4 Conv order for California delivery. Seems there is only 1 shipping vessel to California per week and departs every Thursday night, Germany time.

Sept. 15 - Place deposite with dealer. Received week 41 allocation.
Sept. 16 - bmwusa.com shows order received
Sept. 27 - Status change to Schedule for production
Oct. 7 - "Ready for transport"
Oct. 8 - "Awaiting carrier assigment"
Oct. 9 - "At the port"
Oct. 11 - "At the port" Weekly Vessel departed to California. My car did not make this ship. (Thursday)
Oct. 18 - "At the port" Weekly Vessel departed to California at 11pm CEST, Germany time. (Thursday)
Oct. 19 - "In transit" bmwusa.com status as of 7AM PST. Called Genius but their automation said "At the port". So it looks like bmwusa.com is ~12 hours behind the changes, possibly due to timezone and BMW Genius is about 6 hours behind bmwusa.com
Oct. 31 - Vessel undine arrived at Baltimore port.
Nov. 15 - Vessel undine arrived at Port Hueneme, California. 10AM arrival time. (Thursday)
Nov. 18 - Car arrived at Dealership. (Sunday). bmwusa.com shows status "at dealer". I called the dealership and they confirmed arrival. But have to wait till Monday for PDI because service department is closed on Sunday. I did not have any dealer installed options so it went through the port quickly.
Nov. 19 - Picked up car at Dealership.

Here is a screen capture from MarineTraffic of the vessel Undine leaving Bremerhaven.

Time line of the ship from WW. Seems the ship is about + - 1 day on schedule.

What's the next port it's going to? Might be waiting for space to open?

Amazing post, Big thanks to Bmwguy11

BMW has updated their automated phone system. I seem to have cracked the code, so you may want to consider updating the initial post.

This worked for me, just thought I'd share. Thanks again to all contributors to this thread.

I've seen this before with my ship too and it looks like the ship is in a holding pattern waiting for port availability. I just goes back and fouth for hours until the one of the ship left the port. I guess its better than putting down the anchor.

This site seems to have the most up-to-date ship tracking information. It seems to have satellite info and updates are more current than other free sites.

Hi,

Can someone help answer these questions:

1. What days of the week can you do EU delivery? Saturday/Sunday possible?
2. Is it possible to do delivery at noon? Iím looking at flights that land at 9:45am in Munich. Does this ruin the experience?

Thanks!

Hey. You can do ED everyday of the week that the Welt is open. Make sure you check for local holidays. They are very accommodating at the Welt as far as timing but I wouldn't rush the experience. Arrive the day before and enjoy delivery day.

Are there now three delivery packages that cost money? Compact, premium?

I thought EUD was free?

Not sure what your referring to. ED (Euro Delivery) is a 5% discount.

That looks to be for European customers. The Vat Tax at the top is the giveaway. Remember customers from all over the EU as well as North America take delivery of their cars in Munich. European customers have to pay, NA customers get a discount
