AFAIK MOST in the 2017 models do not with with MOBRIDGE and similar systems 100%.

This issue has been fixed according to Encanto. The version/update notes also claim that this was fixed.

So I read. I would like see if there's anything that doesn't work, would be nice to hear from someone who has it installed.

Send an email to mObridge and they will confirm that v1.9 solved all the issues, if three installs are not proof enough for you.

I've tried emailing mObridge, haven't seen a reply to any of my queries.

I'm not looking for any "proof". For example, looking at the newer Helix SDMI25 product, they state in their manual that you have to change a DIP switch on the unit itself (hard to do when it's installed) if you want to change the PDC volume. The mObridge manual doesn't cover how this works on their platform (can I change it in the head unit, like stock? If so, that's a huge plus over the Helix).

Also, looks like these units (MOST adapters) are not sold to individuals, only installers. That's a bit unfortunate for us enthusiasts but it makes sense.

The Audison DMI is a rebranded mObridge DA1. Any Audison dealer will sell you one.

All volume levels -music, Nav, PDC, Bluetooth- are still adjustable via iDrive with the DMI/DA1. Understand that the conversion is stereo so there will be no discrete PDC sound -no front and back, side to side- or any multichannel decoding. Your DSP will determine how great the sound will be.

For sure, any aftermarket DSP with amps will sound much clearer, deeper, louder and just better than any BMW OEM system, even with OEM speakers.

The DSP that you select, and the tuning of that DSP, will determine how great your sound will be. The HK, B&O and B&W systems use a very particular sound processing and multichannel separation that you may not find in aftermarket DSP -Pro Logic II, DIRAC and others- so if you like that kind of processed sound then you may not like the sound without it.

I forgot to update my thread. Long story short after a very flakey installer and many others that didn’t want to mess with it, I gave up. Now I’m in an M4 CS with just the HiFi system so upgrading will be considerably easier as most of you know.

Very cool, thanks for posting. Any idea if you will have a M4 CS kit available? Near as I can tell it only has the front center and door tweeters. Then two rear deck speakers and the underseat ghost subs. We (BP members) are unsure if there are any other ones.

Hope you don't mind me asking... but do you guys offer a solution or plug and play harness to get signal input to an Lc2i ? I wanted to add my Jl 600/1 and 12w6v3 in the trunk Im fairly happy with the hk system and just wanted a little extra low end.
