What's the skinny on Netflix?

hat's the skinny on Netflix?
Could anyone please tell me if Netflix is possible to use while in motion? What's the solution? My car is a 2019 M4cs with Apple Car Play.

Also, how can I get full screen Apple Car Play?

Thank you!

Insulting one of the most knowledgeable people on the forum is not a way to get help.

Guess you will need to read a lot of search results now.

Members in the F80 section have difficulties with comprehension.

I asked and the most "knowledgeable" member's contribution was a sarcastic non-contribution. Must be a new definition of "help". It doesn't seem like his intent from the get go was to refrain from offering any constructive assistance. I think I'll survive without his "knowledge".

Again, not really, there was no intent to assist from the get go. Let's just move along. Too much time spent discussing a useless "the search button must be broken" response. Thanks.

No, your response will make others that could have helped not respond now.

So good luck and as you REALLY are going to learn to use search now to solve your issues!

Idk, OP. Seems like you gave a decent effort.

I don't use CarPlay, but from what I understand, I believe you can connect an older Apple TV to your screen and use it for Netflix. Tommy L Garage did a video on it. Not sure if there's a less involved solution out there.

You need to jailbreak your iPhone and run a backroad app. I saw it on YouTube also for the Netflix or any other app you want to use via CarPlay

Thank you, definitely more involved than I was hoping it would be.

Don't sweat it bro, if one these Very Stable Geniuses really had the answer, they would actually be helpful because to them, it's all about the "rep" and not actually assisting a fellow member.

In my experience here, what I've learned is when one the experts doesn't have the answer, they obfuscate, in an attempt to appear like the Confucius of BMWs and try to be a dick about your simple questions because they can hide behind the anonymity of the internet.

It's just a stalling tactic and I'm sure there is a psychological term for that sort of narcissistic behavior. Trust me, you'll be able to live with the disappointment.

Anyway, I've done extensive searches before myself and only one member has successfully been able to stream Nexflix on the iDrive.

I supplied his thread below and I assure you he's a really cool cat, if he can't help, a simple yes or no response would be suffice.

Unleash full power of CarPlay (Netflix, PLEX, BimmerLink...) https://www.2addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1607008

Thank you for the guidance, I definitely have sufficient information to make the decision on whether to proceed with adding Netflix to the car. I don't think I'll be moving forward. Not one to jailbreak.

Regarding the other issue, you're right, under the privacy of the internet, some people's entire agenda rests on shaming and inciting. In this case, it failed miserably because Mr. Knowledge and his buddy never actually clicked the search button, otherwise they would have known that there isn't actually THAT much information available on the subject, except that which may be scattered in random posts. Simple ignorance and stupidity to boot. They made themselves look even more foolish because they further assumed that the entire forum is full of dicks like themselves.

I have the answer I need, thanks very much to all of you who chimed in.
